PERSONALITY
He's a nice gentle fellow. Always showing his more delightful and polite side both in private and public. He does have a tendency to forget that he's not teaching 24/7 and has let his stoic behavior get the better of him, forgetting sometimes that his friends aren't his students. But this attitude has so far only benefited Vincent, as he's a lousy goofball and Harper has had to deal with his over the top dramatic antics and was the voice of reason for Vincent. Him and Shani are like his mother hens keeping him in line when he starts getting out of hand. And while most of the time he presents himself as approachable, plenty of rotten students have gotten under his skin and has raised his voice, but that's are. It takes a lot to piss him off, majority of the time he's a very compassionate and patient professor.
He likes gardening, teaching his students, reading, cooking, cyan, apple and cinnamon tea, gin and tonic, cats, vanilla pudding, tulips. He doesn't like getting yelled at, his students taking advantage of his kindness, mushrooms, rasins, plums.
BIOGRAPHY
HEADER ONE
He was born on the 17th of August in 1711 to Amber Evans Payne and Charles Payne in London. His mother being an Armadillo Lizard is well, his father was a human. Both of them loved him, but his father could appear strict and harsh in some situations. But he was never cruel to Harper. As a kid Harper was quite shy and quiet, spending his time reading books and drawing or helping his mother in the garden. She sparked his love for it. After graduating secondary school he applied to Oxford and got accepted, taking a major in literature and biology.
While he was studying at Oxford he met and befriended a student by the name of Vincent Augustin Bennett who was in his 3rd semester. They became friends very quickly and are still friends till this day. Eventually he got his degree and left England.
HEADER TWO
He was beyond distraught when he found out Vincent is a criminal. At first he did distance himself from him, but overtime, after Vincent tried reaching out, he got the full truth from him and they were able to make up. They promised to always be open with each other from then on. With his degree he found a job in a university and teaches biology and literature there till this day. He's one of the more nicer professors from the faculty.
RELATIONS
They met in college and became friends very quickly, despite Vincent's criminal past he forgave him and saw past it. He knows he can still count on him.
She tried attending to his classes but they just weren't for her so she quit, but he became fond of her and began meeting outside of class and became friends.
