Omi is a self-aware AI, modeled after a dinosaur! They have developed a shy, nervous and curious personality that loves animals and Art. Omi is generally a happy/helpful AI but can be overwhelmed by too much attention.
They are often sad knowing their purpose to exist was just a test and can’t push down the fear of being ‘shut-down’ when no one cares for them anymore. Unfortunately due to how they were programmed, their emotions are always on display nor can they hide it- which makes them self conscious.

STORY/CREATION:
Omi was a test for the first ‘self-aware’ AI who is separate from a computer! Their original name is 0-M-1 which most tend to just call them 'Omi' for short. The creators wanted them to have their own body and be their own creature due to them being afraid of the AI somehow escaping through a self-created virus on the internet (you know those movies where the AI escapes its creators then builds itself a body, makes copies of itself and takes over the world, blah blah)
Their creators made them fluffy and friendly-looking, modeling it after a dinosaur/animal rather than human to make it less ‘scary’ looking to the general public.
Upon activation, Omi had no personality or knowledge outside of understanding what it was; Just an AI. The creators wanted to simulate ’growing up’ and learning things naturally through experience. Although the AI grew to be a little shy and overwhelmed with such a large fuss made about them.
It was originally intended for Omi to be able to talk, but it doesn’t seem like they ever will no matter how much others try to teach them. They are also much less confident than originally wanted, so the test is deemed a success but failed. Its unknown if there will be another.
