Lara

Lara is one of the main protagonists of Death Arises, a personal project of mine, a story settled in my settings Eriu.

She is an Orudel bodyguard who started following and protecting Devar after he helped her out.

PERSONALITY

Lara is an optimist, but also a realist: she doesn't see the world as a pink flower bed, but she believes that if you decide to plant the seeds, you might grow a quite decent one.

She is also pretty extrovert and brave, while Devar tends to be more thoughtful and reserved, but they are very good friends as they feel "one complete the other".

She has the kind of personality that makes people like her, at the point that both Devar and Dherion felt like they have known her for a lifetime.

She likes music, dance, and carries an armonica with her and she likes to play it from time to time around a nice campfire.

She has one of those contagious and powerful laughs that you can hear from the other part of the town, and has a great sense of humour.
She also likes to drink, especially if somebody else is paying for that, and enjoys a good decent meal, especially after days of traveling and dried meat and old bread.

She is kind, but will immediately stand her foot if someone tries to be mean to her (probably by "joking", but in a way you know she means it), and gets very defensive if people try to hurt her friends.

Her weapon is a machine created by Devar, a big hammer with some bullets loaded that will cause an explosion when hitting, but unless she decides to load the hammer, it's a just an hammer.

She dreams to finally win the gladiators tournament.

BACKGROUND

Lara was your typical Orudel, living a non-rich but decent life with her family. She started struggling with her weight after entering in her teens, and no matter how much she trained, she couldn't lose a pound, until Grian himself, the sun god, showed up to train her, and he showed her that healthy doesn't mean thin, and that her worth wasn't bond to how she looked, but how she decided to spend her life, and doing so he shaped her believes, making her the person she is today.
When she was old enough, she became a gladiator, and by doing so she helped her family reaching a better economical status.
