PERSONALITY

Rue is not intentionally rude or mean, but he is insecure. To avoid embarrassment, Rue replies to most situations with sarcasm and judgement, and comes across to most as fairly pretentious. He has good intentions, but she is fairly quick tempered and bitchy; Irritability only heightened due to the stress his job at Fazbear Finds puts him through.

Despite his high defenses, Rue is very loyal to and dependent on those he considers friends. He lived through a period of a few months where, due to depression, he lost contact with most of his acquaintances and friends, and even with new companionship, he hangs onto the fear of slipping back into solitude. He is desperate to be known, but wary of letting people in.

BACKGROUND

Rue was raised in a middle class nuclear family with a presence in their community. He had a good situation, but resented the expectations pushed onto him, leading to rebellion typical of a high schooler. Regardless, good grades still came easy to her. In college she didn't find it nearly as easy, and allowed the reckless part of her personality to dominate. He would often skip classes to party, and was intoxicated often. This culminated in disaster when he killed another driver in a drunk-driving accident. It was late at night on a small road, and no one knew it was his fault. She only ever told his girlfriend and parents.

After his girlfriend, Julie, dumped him, he dropped out and moved in with his parents where he sunk into a depression. They finally kicked him out not too long after his 25th birthday. Using the rest of his tuition money, Rue got an apartment where he began the job search. Rue had a hard time getting his act together, being fired from three or four jobs before turning to his last resort; Fazbear Finds, the local Freddy Fazbear franchise location. He thought it beneath him, but quickly fell in love with the lax ruleset and small, tight staff. This didn't last long when his easy nightguard job revealed itself as a terrifying constant risk of death.

Despite it all, Rue can not bring himself to leave; he privately considers his co-workers his closest friends, and the hard work gives him a sense of value and purpose.
