Milo Caed
About
He's Mors Caed I's son. He lived in his parent's shadow his entire life. Most Great Caed Knights don't last until they're seventy, they either die young or retire in their late fifties/early sixties, but Milo had to wait almost twenty years after most Caeds take up the mantle. He had years to hone his skills to take over the role when his parent can no longer hold the mantle, but his time as Great Caed Knight was shortlived - four years. He took a much more active roll and was killed during a magic raid by non-magical means.
He took out his frustration - of living in his parent's shadow and of their parent holding onto the mantle promised to him for years even though he looks at them as a deity above men - on his children. He poured his everything into their training and giving them the best tutors in every subject. He had the best pianist and violinists in Speravi given room and board at the castle to teach Mors II and Annora. Their combat instructors were the fiercest fighters in the army, including the army's general when she passes through Nitor. It also meant he needed his children to have the best discipliner in Speravi, in which he gladly took in stride. He hammered them in obedience, and his expectations were astronomical. He was lighter on his daughter, but his son suffered extreme duress, both mentally and physically. He scarred his son, claiming he smiled too much by carving one into his jaw. He sent his daughter away for three months after she carved the other half of the smile onto her own face. He wanted them to be indepent, and while Mors understood that, Annora did not. She protected him and disturbed his training but not enough to send her away permanently.
"How can I live up to a deity?"
