Kalos Barberis

Magic Knight-in-training. Prickly, Professional, austere, but passionate, hard-working, and fiercely loyal. Standing at only 4' 10", he is the smallest student in his class, and is often underestimated because of it. Underestimation is his greatest asset. 

Kalos is a force to be reckoned with. Swift, precise, and direct, he handles his sword and his magic with ease that even some seasoned magic knights don't have, and all for a promise he made to a prince when he was but a young boy. 

Prince Altair, 'Suri', to them, is his first, and only friend, the prince of the kingdom. Showing so much prowess, and being so loyal to the prince, Kalos has vowed to be his knight and protect him. Now all he has to do is show the school, and the people around him, that he's just as capable. 

People can be cruel, not understanding him. He comes off as incensitive, callous, and, well, an asshole, but he's really not. He's soft-hearted and compassionate, and it hurts to be looked down upon, for those lies to spread, but he deals with it, because in the end their opinions will not matter. It's the teacher's, and the royal family's. His goal is to be by Suri's side, and he will reach that goal.
