Miruki Berry

Miruki doesn't really like talking about her past, or even recalling it. She recalls having loving parents, both of which loved her and her brother equally. She remembers spending a lot of time with her cousin Sonya as kids, for they were taken care of by her uncle while her own parents were at work. Every weekday, from 8am till 6pm, she'd find herself with the Chashu family up until she started school. She recalled school being an odd experience at first, but something she warmed up to eventually. She loved meeting new people, making new friends, and spending time with Sonya and be related to the coolest girl in the entire school! After school, her uncle would pick them up and she'd then wait for her parents to get out of work. They'd then finish the day off with a family dinner, some TV, and then bed. Rinse and repeat, everyday. Consistent. The only exception being fridays, where the place her parents worked at would close early in the day. This meant that her parents were the ones to pick up the girls from school instead of her uncle.

There was a time where Sonya had to leave school early and go to the doctor after injuring her arm while playing with the other kids. This meant that, while her uncle, cousin and brother were at the doctor's office, Miruki spent her day at school by herself until school was out. Lucky for her, her parents were the ones to be picking up that day! They'd pick her up with the intention of going to pick up Ichigo, who was still with the Chashus. They could then go eat out like they always did every week and do something fun thereafter. That... was the plan. That how it always was, at least. Her life was always so mundane, but she was content with it. But with a wrong turn of the wheel, there was loud honking and tires skidding on the pavement, and then nothingness.

Miruki woke up to the sterile environment of a hospital, surrounded by nurses and doctors, as well as her familiar faces with sorrow filled eyes. At the time, she couldn't really comprehend what had happened at first. Not like anyone was telling her either. All she knew was that she had been in an accident and survived... but what of her parents? Some time later, once she was deemed stable enough, the news were broken to her. For a while, Miruki wasn't herself. She was meant to stay with the Chashu family, just as her mother would've liked, but the bustling sounds of the city center weren't doing her any good. Her father's brother then stepped in and adopted the two siblings, taking them away from the city and to the calm bays of the Licorice Banks. It took time, but Miruki began to open up again and was slowly regaining her sense of self. She was able to attend school again, as well as interact with others too. She was regaining some normalcy in her life. She found a passion for marine life, having been exposed to her uncle's studies and work as a marine biologist!

Currently, Miruki lives in the Sour Lagoon on her own whilst being a marine biology student. She does often visit her brother and uncle, as well as visiting Sonya every now and again. She's leading a happier life where she appreciates the little things it brings.
