Amon came into the human realm in ancient egypt, and was worshipped as a fertility deity. This god would be the same deity that humanity interpreted and documented as Amun, baal hammon, Aamon, etc.
At some point during this time he came into contact with a woman who would eventually become Ammit. While still very young and impressionable she soon became the most important person in his life and when she died he wasn't able to accept that. From then until the present he has spent his time finding ways to make her reincarnate along with her, and consume other demonic entities to gain some of their powers and grow stronger
