Sole survior of a shipwreck just outside of Earth's orbit, he now takes refuge in an old observatory in hopes of making contact with his missing crewmates. Rama is reserved and cautious but cares deeply for the other extraterrestrial travelers he's come to know while on Earth. He sometimes suffers from memory problems due to the damage his gem took from the crash which in turn affect his psychophysical abilities.
Spends his time repairing a ship with his pal, Cadet, star watching with Altair, and avoiding the black suited agents who roam the town his observatory overlooks.
