World Building:
In the Kingdom, there is one Saintess is born per generation. It is always the eldest daughter born to the Lilac family. As the child slowly reaches adulthood, the power of the current Saintess dwindles, and the child’s power grows. Once the new Saintess reaches the age of 22, their power will have typically fully developed, leaving the last Saintess powerless.
The Saintess posses a number of powers, but each one has a special skill that manifests in their life at one point or another, along with skills and weaknesses within their own powers.
Due to the nature of the Saintess abilities, it is a constant battle between the Chruch & the Monarchy. The Saintess is often forced to be married off to ensure the Saintess bloodline remains in each generation.
Past:
Before she was born, her mother was under the King’s thumb. She was forced to marry a Duke, the Kings brother who was a bit older than her. She was his second wife, which upset the church greatly. When she discovered she was pregnant, she gathered as much money and supplies as possible before fleeing the Kingdom. She traveled to a small tribe she had heard of before, while touring the kingdom, before giving birth there and leaving the newborn with them. They accepted the child with open arms, and agreed to hide her with them as long as possible. Once she was sure, the Saintess returned to the Kingdom, knowing they couldn’t hurt her.
The youngest Saintess grew up in the tribe, never knowing her mother. She lived in peace, happily helping out the village we’re she could. She began developing her skills at around 12, early for most Saintesses, and found her biggest skill was healing physical wounds. By the time she was 13, her mother’s power had decreased drastically, and the search for the new Saintess had picked up drastically. Days before her 14th birthday, she was drug to the Capital, and forced to live a new life. She was introduced to the Prince, who often tried to drag her around the Castle. He constantly wanted to play, show her new things, and grow closer to her. She did her best to avoid him, but it was hard to avoid the Prince of the Empire. She was often at the boy’s whims, treated like a doll.
