Symbiotic relationship personified.

Bip is an introvert, who can usually be found lost in her own thoughts, or near those who she trusts. She is inquisitive, questioning everything and everyone, although this is rather out of curiosity rather than any meanspirited accusations. She is incredibly observant, whether this is due to her quiet nature or the help of a constant second opinion [Oxford] can be anyone's guess.

Bip's behaviour around people changes depending on her stance with them. For the most part, she isn't trusting with strangers, and (when surrounded by them) will appear distant. However, this is in severe contrast to her usual mood; when around people she knows well, her spirits will be lifted and she will act more energised, although she still would prefer to listen than participate in conversation. When given the choice, Bip would prefer to stay close to people she is comfortable with, but when alone, she will (usually) only converse with Oxford.

  • Personality

Oxford (much like his host body) is not social with strangers, and often comes off as aggressive and caustic. This sarcastic nature of his often transfers to his conversations with Bip, who is used to his obscure comments. He enjoys the company of Bip (due to him viewing her as non-human) and doesn't like people touching his host body, for fear of them harming her (this extends to Viktor and (to a lesser extent) Myra). Oxford can be annoying at times, often not seeing the need to speak or refusing to speak to human's entirely; in recent years, he has been more outspoken towards strangers, as he has realised that Bip doesn't like talking either, and he would rather speak than making her do so.

Appearance

Bip and Oxford's relationship is strengthed by their dependence on one another; their amalgamation was unpredictable, and thus no singular being could be given full control of the host body. Due to this, the pair has specific controls over certain body parts. The most notable example of that is Bip's face, as she has three eyes. The two brown eyes shown are controlled by Bip, the green one, however, belongs to Oxford; Oxford's eye can move independently of the other two, and because of this the pair can sleep at different times (although it is much more logical for them both to sleep at the same time, this particular feature has come in handy on a few occasions).

Seeing how Bip was the host body to Oxford, she has the most control over given body parts; she is able to control both legs and has control of her right arm and hand (subsequently making her right-handed). The pair both need to eat, and have separate digestive systems to accompany this need; in addition to this, Oxford and Bip have separate brains and hearts but share lungs. Oxford is an Eldrik who was merged with Bip and, although he came from a powerful species, is weakened by his current form. He has control of the left arm and hand (which is a nuisance to him, as that is not his dominant hand). To each individual, the body parts they don't control can (at times) feel itchy, and can sometimes feel the part twitching; they can sense their position and know of its presence, but (for the most part) all feeling of touch is lost. However, if a substantial amount of blood is lost from the other being's limb, then the other will experience paresthesia (otherwise described as tingling/numbness along the limb).

After making her way to Chaménos, Bip soon found a job as a messenger of the public. This is mainly because of her small physique and ability to run fast; however, she is weaker than others might presume, and bruises easily which has (at some points) worried Oxford. She has short brown hair which is usually parted to the right of her face and has it regularly cut to avoid future annoyances. Finally, Bip can usually be seen wearing oversized clothes, as they don't constrict Oxford (who will rip through clothing that presses immediately on him).Oxford doesn't have a body of his own, but he still is present on Bip. The amalgamation made it so he in the form of an opening on Bip's stomach, with teeth on either side of the opening. There are a few scars of previous stitches seen on the top and bottom of the opening, and they do not look likely to fade anytime soon.It took some time for the two to get used to the predicament set about by Mortem, but after a while they began to function like a single entity, moving throughout their daily lives without much fuss.

Backstory

Bip is the product of an experiment done by leading scientist Doctor P. Mortem to host a Fae within a human body. Unbeknownst to Bip, she is the first and only of his experiments to succeed. This is only because with each failed experiment, a piece of Oxford was lost resulting in his presence within Bip being the weakest of all.

Although Bip has no memory of her past, she can deduct that she grew up poor and abandoned, as there were (according to short statements from Viktor and Oxford) no search parties recruited after her disappearance. Whether or not this theory is true can be debated, as Edessa wasn't the safest of places, and anyone could have been the victim of Mortem.

When Myra and Viktor fled to eascape persecution, a part of Myra felt obligated to disarm the stasis chamber and set Bip free. Doing so succeeded, resulting in (after an hour or so) the chamber draining and the (then unnamed) pair to finally regain consciousness. Bip awoke, dazed and confused. The only thing she could hear was the continuous sounds of the heart monitor nearby. She hit her clenched fists against the glass walls surrounding her until they gave way, making her stumble and fall; this (as one would suspect) caused her to gain cuts and bruises differing in severity. Looking around the room revealed that it had been left in a dishevelled chaos. At this current moment, she was unable to talk as her mind was foggy and disturbed from months of an unconscious state; instead she relied on making sounds, similar to those of the monotonous heart monitor. This wasn't much concern for the time being as she rather intended to listen to the loud voice emanating from the mouth on her stomach. Seeing how she has no recollection of life outside, she saw no problem in this scenario and continued on to find an escape from the hidden laboratory.

The voice wasn't much help to her at first, making comments disregarding her intelligence and refusing to aid her in any way. He even went as far as to refer to the girl as 'Bip', due to her limited word choice, and creation of short noises; however, this nickname began to make less sense as Bip soon regained her ability to speak as her thoughts became clearer, now being able to say short words with no particular meaning. They took their time wandering through the now-abandoned house (seeing no need to leave, and having no knowledge of any eclosing danger), coming across many rooms of interest; there were a few bedrooms, where Bip could collect items of clothing to cover herself with, an isolated kitchen, where they found a canister to collect and hold water with (along with some wrapped leftovers which they soon consumed), and finally, a room specifically dedicated to the holding of books. This room was Bip's favourite, as it was intriguing. The voice made known his disgust for the room, which Bip didn't take into consideration. The words on the book's spines were one's that Bip couldn't understand, with many of them having far too many syllables to pronounce. Bip looked around the room, wanting to find something of use to decode the spines, as her knowledge of the English language was limited at best. She soon came across a title she recognised: an Oxford English Dictionary, an old looking book that she felt would help her. She soon began to look at the words, understanding very few of them, and attempted to find meaning in the words around her, reading them aloud to herself and (consequently) the voice. The voice (at first) didn't like this activity, viewing it as redundant as he didn't know how to read English, and had only learnt the language from brief conversations held by Viktor and Mortem during his entrapment. As he was a different entity, he had grown learning a different language that was mainly comprised of hieroglyph-like pictures, making words and lettering a foreign concept. Bip soon deducted that this was the case, and began to call him 'Oxford' in return for his previous remarks, something that Bip argued was humorous and well justified. This time was cut short, however, by loud crashing sounds that emanated from the front room. Yelling soon followed suit, scaring Bip and concerning Oxford. Oxford became the voice of reason, ordering Bip to escape from the house. They managed to find an open window in the kitchen and escaped the residence.

They had been lucky, gifted with the cover of night to aid them in their escape. This made it easy to run from the armed guards, and (unknowingly) cross the border into Chaménos. For the first few weeks, they were forgotten by society, moving through the unusual markets without a second glance from citizens. Bip found a rundown restaurant within the central marketplace that was willing to trade food for work; Bip was given the job of transporting food and important items from place to place. This carried on for a short period of time before the pair ran into Viktor and Myra in the marketplace whilst running their errands; Oxford immediately recognised the man and began to yell crude slurs at him (which shocked Bip, as Oxford would never so much as talk to strangers let alone raise his voice). Viktor was taken aback, recognising Bip as the experiment he helped create. Myra attempted to heal the situation, inviting Bip (and subsequently Oxford) to dinner.

It was an awkward first interaction, but it gave Bip the opportunity to be apart of a 'family', a concept that was truly foreign to the girl.

  • Viktor Oculi Friend

Bip harbours a great interest in Viktor's work and (due to having no recollection of her past) does not see the irony in this situation. Oxford, however, despises the man. Never talking to him or aiding in his studies, rather only correcting simple errors in order to feel a sense of superiority. Bip often aids Viktor in collecting specific materials (which Oxford will refuse to cooperate in).

  • Myra Rursus Mother Figure

Bip views Myra as a mother figure, often looking to her for advice and support when needed. Oxford doesn't mind her, prefering to rather eat her baked-goods insted of conversing. At the end of the day, when Bip has finished work, she usually stops by Myra's place for some tea, an activity that has become almost habitual to the pair.

  • Doctor P. Mortem 'Creator'

Bip doesn't have much memory of Mortem, insted taking her opinion from the brief conversations she's had from Oxford; what she has gathered is that he was not a nice man, which she knows from the (crude) language used by Oxford to describe him. Oxford (as one would have guessed) despises the man, as Mortem took Oxford and reduced him into this non-prefereable form.

  • Alfie Friend

Alfie is a girl who Bip met whilst delivering packages, who works within the inner city. Bip has trouble talkiing to her, getting flustered easily and being unable to focus when around her. Oxford finds this hilarious.

  • Trivia
    • ● Bip has no memory of life before waking and doesn't know many things about herself.
    • ● Oxford was awake for all medical procedures. This causes him to harbour a great hatred for Viktor, as he (Viktor) stood by and at times helped Mortem.
    • ● Oxford's past is often fragmented, as he is hundreds of years old. For the first few months of their 'togetherness' Oxford was quite reluctant to reveal his past to Bip, but eventually told her about his past and his species.
    • ● Bip doesn't know what Oxford's previous form looked like. Oxford is hesitant to draw/describe it for Bip
    • ● Oxford can speak and does hold lengthy conversations with Bip (usually within the later hours of night, as his species is nocturnal). He refuses to speak to other humans unless they impose a direct threat to Bip, which can be troublesome for Bip at times.
    • ● Bip has an debilitating fear of water, as it was the thing she was contained in for so long. This fear does not affect Oxford, but he does not belittle her because of it, as he knows humans have fragile minds.
    • ● Oxford cannot read English, and sometimes asks Bip to read out loud to him.
    • ● Oxford has another name besides the one given to him by Bip. Will he tell anyone? Probably not.
