Vesper

Vesper was once a well-decorated naval officer, but after seeing some of the horrors that some of the higher-ups allowed and perpetuated, he deserted and joined up with a pirate crew for a while. He quickly realized that pirates still committed a lot of things he certainly wasn't ok with, and he couldn't turn them around, so as soon as he was able to find a decent privateer ship he joined up. He doesn't really mind that he doesn't have a position of authority-- he kind of prefers not having all the added responsibility, and he's certainly good at following orders. He's also considered settling down, but he hasn't actually found a partner to settle with-- and he knows if he settles somewhere alone he won't do particularly well, he's too used to people around, and doesn't want to feel isolated.
