Backstory

Dallas was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. He lived in a nice neighborhood with his parents who loved and cared for him. For the most part, Dallas always considered his life to be fairly normal. His parents got along, and he was a well behaved kid who rarely got in trouble. For the most part, he just faded into the background and lived vicariously through other people's drama.
That all changed in his final year of high school. His parents started to argue with each other a lot, and got a divorce right as Dallas was starting his final year. As a result, Dallas spent weekdays with his mother and weekends with his father who now was living on the other side of the city. Dallas struggled to come to terms with his parents splitting up, but he still managed to keep his head up and tried not to let his grades slip.
Things got even weirder for Dallas on the evening of December 17th. He had been invited to a party, but the following morning he found that he couldn't remember anything. The only reason that he knew that he had been there in first place was through his social media. Initially he dismissed it, thinking that possibly he had simply drank more than he thought, but when he learned that one of his classmates went missing that night he became determined to know what happened that night.
For weeks he tried to piece together what had happened, hoping that maybe he could remember something that would help the police with their investigation. It was exactly a month later when he found himself at the centre of a new investigation; his classmate had been murdered and Dallas was there to witness it. Moments before her death, Vivian, his classmate, revealed to him that she could communicate telepathically to him. Not only that, but Dallas could do it too. Dallas didn't believe it at first, but he had no other way to explain some of the stuff that he witnessed that night. The last thing that Vivian said to him before she died was to "find Ara," and then showed him a series of mental images.
Dallas was certain that the mind reading and Vivian's death were somehow connected but he had little proof to go off of. With the help of Andor and Ara, the three of them attempted to piece together what really happened on the night of December 17th.
Personality
Dallas is pretty cynical and jaded, even at the best of times. He's been known to known to make sarcastic comments about everything and everyone. He tends to be a bit of a pessimist. He's usually pretty reserved around people that he doesn't know, but once he opens up he's almost like a different person. With his friends, he's more social and laid back. Dallas can also be very stubborn and determined. Once he gets his mind set on something he'll do almost anything to get it.
Relationships with other characters
Andor: Dallas was initially a bit put off by Andor, and found him a little bit obnoxious at first. However, it didn't take him long to get used to Andor's boisterous personality. Dallas found that Andor was a pretty interesting person and he enjoyed spending time with him.
Ara: Like most people, Dallas found Ara's snobby and arrogant personality a little bit off putting. He quickly grew tired of Ara's condescending remarks, but never really found the courage to call him out on it. Despite all their differences, Dallas still does hold a fair amount of respect for Ara and all the hard work that he does.
