Overview

An ex-rodeo king who used to travel from site to site taking down opponents where ever he went. His record breaking win streak has made him a star throughout Cyberspace, but has also given him the image, along with many others in his profession, of being nasty and sadistic. In reality, he can be quite a compassionate and understanding person, who has just had practice shutting off his emotions while in the ring. By nature, the fights can get extremely brutal. Rory simply looks at it as the price of excellence. He owes almost everything good in his life to his career and wouldn't have exchanged it for anything.

He is not unintelligent, but does not have much in the way of book smarts. He finds learning on his own extremely challenging and boring, but is able to understand many things he wouldn't otherwise if explained well. He is also an admirer of intelligence in others, especially when it's put to practical use.

As a father, he's quite protective of his calves, but no pushover when it comes to discipline. It is important to him them they all be given some responsibilities around the house and ranch. Even the youngest ones get small tasks to do each day. He encourages them all to support each other and loves to spend time with and take them places, even when their tireless energy and ceaseless need for attention leaves him physically and mentally exhausted at the end of a day.

Story

The minotaur race has a history of being marginalized due to their reputation as man-eaters. In reality it was simply one minotaur who became famous for being a cannibal and the trait does not represent the majority of minotaurs who are simply omnivores. Because of this stereotype, minotaurs have mostly been driven out of Mount Olympus and resettled on other sites, most commonly Sensible Flats.

Though even on the desert site, they are not generally made welcome. Judge Trudy and Sheriff Judy have it out for their kind and implimented rules making it impossible for them to own land in vicinity of town, banishing them to the far corners of the site.

Rory was orphaned from a young age, but raised communally as a child of the herd. Growing up he realized how taken advantage of his people were, only allowed to work on farmers owned by the borgs of Sensible Flats, but not allowed to purchase any of the the fertile acres of land. After a few years of working on farms, he discovered the world of underground rodeos, a new way to make money that was illegal and exploitive, yes, but much more profitable and something that engaged him much more than farm work.

After being declared a promising newcomer in the ring, he lost a fight against a unicorn, the beast stabbing out one of his eyes after a misstep. The injury caused Rory's managers to soon abandon him, believing his career had just been ended. Rory had resigned himself to a life of poverty and farm work until meeting a young borg who claimed to be a fan of his, who offered to make him a new eye. And so, Rory came to be introduced to The Hacker.

Abilities

• Prosthetic Eye: the replacement eye Hacker built for him. Although it sometimes causes irritation and has to be regularly maintained, it comes with a variety of features including night vision, auto targeting and a camera.
• Immense Strength: could easily knock down a brick house with his bare hands.
• Farm Knowledge: has worked on them most of his life and knows how to manage them in all aspects.
