Profile

Name: Catherine

Gender: Female

Race: Tabaxi

Height: 6"10

Weight: 120 Lbs

Personality: A confident, charismatic, and intimidating woman, Catherine is not easily frightened and prone to causing a stir. She enjoys the dance of the blade and seeks for nothing more than the next new adventure, next new people, next new plunder!

Catherine set out to explore the world at the tender age of 13. Blissfully ignorant of the ship's reputation, Catherine begged the nearest vessel to take her on as a deckhand. She was unconcerned when the captain laughed at her, bored when he called her a "pet", and downright dismissive at the label "willing slave". She wanted to see the world, and coin was irrelevant. What could coin get her, anyway? Glad to have a pair of enthusiastic hands for the price of a few table scraps, the captain agreed to take Catherine aboard. She slept in the crow's nest, taking up nigh more than three square feet of floorspace as she curled contentedly on the ragged wooden floorboards. It suited her just fine, and the view was magnificent from the lofty structure. So what if it swayed precariously in the wind, offered no cover from the rain, and smelled of rotting fish? She could watch the storms roll in and stare at a stunning blanket of stars.

As the years passed Catherine slowly became more than just a slave on the ship. Despite the surly nature of the crew, her constant optimism and confidence slowly gained her the trust - and hearts - of the whole lot. They fed her their scraps, then their rations, then their meals. Once Catherine was old enough to understand the black flag on the mast, she began training as a boarding member and dropped the "slave" title altogether. The life of a pirate suited her just fine, and she quickly became adept in the art of dueling. Her ferocity and skill in battle soon became known in every land and the fearsome pirate spent her days chasing the horizon.

After years of terrorizing the sea, her ship was gunned down and the crew captured. The nobleman running the expedition saw the young Tabaxi and decided to give her a choice: turn her life around, or be locked behind bars. Five years later, she wonders if jail would have been the better option. After all, nothing's more exciting than a jailbreak! As per the agreement between Catherine and the nobleman, Catherine must keep her face covered at all times lest her identity as a wanted felon be revealed. She knows only enough medicine to keep up the doctor façade, and tries her best to hide the "catlike" abilities in her arsenal. As an added later of precaution she wears high boots, leather gloves, a high collared shirt, a skirt, and a deceptively realistic wig to conceal her identity. Through study and practice Catherine has learned just enough magic to enhance her already stunning dueling abilities. She has a close bond with her familiar - A spirit named "Fechin" - who most often takes the form of a raven. She has trained him to secretly pilfer coins and other shiny objects.

Catharine LOVES learning, so books are a weak point of hers. She could happily live her life in a library, if not for the fact that seeing the world and reading about it are two very different things. Like any cat, Catherine has a weak spot for curling up next to a fire and must physically restrain herself from sitting on the floor when around other people. She often gets energy late at night, leading to a form of "Zoomies" better known as "poor impulse control." The opposite is true during the day, she would much rather take a six hour nap than be productive while the sun is out! Because of this, she can be a bit irritable around midday.
