What's he doing? 

His best.

A former mercenary who often took on assassination work. He was once a Desert Crafter, but after meeting his untimely demise he was reanimated as a Starrobber.

His mother was a prostitute and his father was an unknown man. He grew up in the slums with his mother, though was kicked out once he was old enough to fend for himself because she couldn't afford to take care of him. Once he was on his own he got involved in street gangs for years until he finally ran off again into a new city to start anew. He started working as a mercenary and never looked back.

He dealt with his job's work by not thinking too much about the people on the other side of his blade. He didn't start seeing them as actual people until a family member of someone he'd slain started hunting him. He didn't realize how real the threat was until he was on the receiving end of an arrow. 

When he awoke next, it wasn't like he expected. He wasn't quite alive as he once was, and now he had some unusual additions, such as far too many eyes on half his face. He'd barely been on his feet when he was mistaken for a Severblight robber and someone tried to kill him a second time. Since then he's grown his hair out to cover his additional eyes and has closed himself off more in his paranoia.

He still works as a mercenary, though he refuses to take on jobs where he'll have to kill anyone.
