Background: Skaarsgard is from beyond the stars, in a world similar to ours but with more vibrant colors and subtle differences such as the horns he has. The animals are also extremely intelligent. Skaarsgard was nearly ready to settle down with his mate and start a family, before she died of unknown causes. He then decided to head out into the universe to explore what it had to offer, meeting all kinds of creatures in different strange worlds, learning all he can to help drown out the pain of loosing his mate. He is usually a very docile creature, mostly interested in calm, intelligent and civil resolution of conflicts, but in extreme circumstances he will fight. The rock around his neck is from his planet, it basically keeps him alive as his species if away from their world for too long will end up dying. It also gives him his strength in battle and will often glow when he is angered or in combat.
