Profile

My Fnaf 3 Night Guard! Grandchild of Phone Guy (who has the last name Caldwell in this), and little cousin and legal ward of Kyle (Phone Dude). Eventual bff/all but in name little sister of my version of Michael Afton.

Design notes:

  • Caucasian, but she spends enough time outside to have a tan and freckles
  • Long Blonde hair is usually pulled back into a ponytail
  • Skinny due to living on a shoestring budget
  • Usually wearing bright colors (Pastels or Neons)
  • The shortest of most friend groups

Backstory

  • Unwanted pregnancy lead to a severely neglected child once she was born
  • Kyle was often forced to babysit her for hours on end when he got out of school
  • When she was super young, he would play the tapes of their grandfather talking in order to get her to calm down and sleep.
  • He straight up taught her how to take care of herself so that he wouldn't have to watch her all the time
  • Once she was self sufficient enough to not die, he would also leave her for hours while he did things. (She isn't aware of what he's doing at this point)
  • He would also let her borrow some cheap consoles and games he didn't care if she broke so that she could entertain herself
  • She assumed that as long as she did a good job and took care of herself, her parents would come back and be proud
  • She was lucky if anyone came back at night
  • Sometimes, Kyle would begrudgingly come and take her back to his parents' place, but they weren't eager to deal with her either and said as much
  • After he got his own cruddy apartment, he would take her to his place instead.
  • A break in happens one night while she's by herself at her house, and calls Kyle. Kyle, thinking she was just scared, told her to call the cops instead because he was too tired to check.
  • So she does.
  • She hides from the potential thief, but they discover her while she's on the phone.
  • The game of cat and mouse lasts until police arrive and arrest the trespasser
  • Then it comes out that she's been left alone for long periods of her childhood.
  • And is now practically abandoned. Her parents haven't returned in weeks, and no one has heard from them.
  • Aunt and Uncle refuse to take her in since they finally kicked out their own child less than a year ago
  • Kyle is asked since he's literally the only blood relative left
  • He doesn't agree immediately, but she quietly promises that she won't be a burden, and she'll pay him back.
  • After some deliberation, he agrees and sets her up on an air mattress in his tiny apartment
  • The deal is that she handles all the house chores in between school things, and he doesn't have to deal with it when he gets back from work
  • Unfortunately, he tends to be very flakey with jobs, and their home stability is almost non-existent
  • Each get rich quick scheme lures him away from the minimum wage jobs that were at least somewhat stable
  • Instead of focusing on her studies, Kidd ends up taking up a lot of under the table jobs in order to supplement his fluctuating income
  • Some of this is voluntary. Some of it isn't
  • She already knows she isn't getting into college, so she instead focuses on trying to build up her resume so that she can get a job once she's legally old enough
  • Plays video games in her precious free time, but she has taken to hiding her consoles on her person since at least one has 'gone missing'
  • Once she hits sixteen, Kyle gets a job that is looking for someone else to handle the night shift...
FNAF 3
  • Kidd ends up the Fazbear Frights Night Security Guard
  • Originally, Kyle was supposed to take this position, but he was tired from the manual labor of raiding the old Fazbear Entertainment facilities, so he convinced her to take over for him
  • It was Summer Vacation, so she could at least handle it for a few weeks until they got someone more qualified
  • The Location wasn't super advertised just yet, so it wasn't like they were expecting thieves wanting the literal garbage that they were pulling out of the pizzerias
  • And if she did well enough, she might be able to keep it as a part time job on weekends during the school year
  • Night 1
    • Before her first night, she visits the attraction during the day so that she can get a feel for what the building actually looks like, and she bumps into a tall brunette man who was talking to Kyle about the most recent area he had pulled stuff from.
    • She was admittedly not paying attention to the conversation, and was checking out an old arcade cabinet that had been salvaged. It was plugged in, but it didn't seem like it was working.
    • The stranger had finished up his conversation, and tried to leave. However, he tripped over a wire and all but crashed into the arcade cabinet
    • Which then started playing 8-bit music and displayed the words Follow Me (Mini game from FNAF 3 that you play every night)
    • After Kyle realized that the cabinet and the man were fine, he wandered off trying to find someone to let them know that the cabinet was working.
    • Surprised, but intrigued, she took the controls and played the game. Didn't expect the sudden ending, so she didn't explore as much as she had wanted to
    • As soon as the dismantling happened in Follow Me, the game switched to The Happiest Day (Another Mini game from Fnaf 3)
    • This one let her keep replaying until she found the glitchy secret and promptly switching off.
    • During all this, the man watched the games as she played
    • Finally introduced himself as Michael
    • Initially wary of him, she kept details to a minimum, but it did eventually slip out that she was working for Fazbear Frights
    • He had a few very weird questions that she couldn't answer, and after that, he left.
    • Night one of Fnaf 3 happens! Where almost nothing happens at all other than her getting used to the cameras and other systems
  • Night 2
    • Next day, she comes in early again, and Michael is there again.
    • Apparently the Cabinet wouldn't turn back on, and Kyle had called him to come back to 'fix' it. However, Kyle wasn't there at that moment due to some big find that he was needed to handle
    • Cabinet turned back on once Kidd was in close proximity and once again displayed Follow Me.
    • The game was slightly different this time, and when it got to the end, she could see the remains of the last animatronic before the one she was controlling was similarly dismantled
    • And then it switched to Happiest Day again, but the game was entirely different.
    • After she found the glitch secret, she had a conversation with Michael about Fazbear's Entertainment's shady past, and he mentions how dangerous the animatronics could be
    • He doesn't go into detail about how he knows that
    • She accidentally lets slip that she was working that night
    • He's clearly concerned, but she is more worried that he knows she's vulnerable
    • After he leaves and her shift starts, however, she completely forgets that fear
    • Because the big find that Kyle was talking about was an animatronic
    • To this day she doesn't know how he or his coworkers didn't notice the smell
    • The way that Spring Bonnie looked at the cameras was frighteningly aware
    • She was also blindsided by the tapes that Kyle found. She could recognize her grandfather's voice anywhere, but the audio equivalent of Customer Service Smile was unsettling to hear
    • She discovered that the animatronic could be deterred by playing noise in another room, and she took the opportunity to lead it away from the security office
    • This was when she started noticing... weird things appearing or moving in the periphery of her vision. She nearly flipped the monitor when something jumped out at her.
  • Night 3
    • When Michael is there once again the next afternoon, she confronts him
    • He still won't go into deep details beyond having worked for FE before. Warns her that if they find any animatronics, then they'll get more aggressive as the week goes.
    • He straight up gives her a number to call if she thinks she needs someone, but she mentally files the information as useless
    • Once again, Follow Me and The Happiest Day appear on the screen when both she and Michael pass by the arcade cabinet
    • Clearly something is up with both of them specifically to make this happen, and when she asks if he has any idea, his only suggestion is ghosts.
    • .... Which she doesn't argue. That would track with the things that would jump and scream at her.
    • The night is even more nerve wracking as she realized that Michael was right. Spring Bonnie was a lot more active this night, and the damn near playful way it would stare at the cameras from the shadows made it clear that it was toying with her.
    • At one point, it had gotten to the hallway in front of the office and had stared her down from the window. The speed at which it moved down the hallway when she looked away so she could access the audio console sent a cold chill down her spine.
    • Thankfully, the cue sent the animatronic right back down the hallway, but it moved significantly slower
    • It even moved like a zombie.
    • The conversations with Michael came to mind when her grandfather started talking about what one should do if the springlocks activated on someone actively wearing the springlock suits
    • Whatever the apparitions were were also getting more aggressive. She had to fend of several of them before she could finally leave. The moment that the clock struck six am, she was out of the door. Though she swore she could see the grey eyes of the animatronic following her
  • Night 4
    • At this point, she doesn't even ask why Michael is there the next afternoon. She breezed by him so that she could play the next installment of Follow Me and  The Happiest Day
    • Once the games are finished, he asks about her shift.
    • She admits he was right, and when it clicks what she means, he immediately begs her to get out.
    • She refuses because she and Kyle need this money for this month's rent
    • She'll manage.
    • It's really weird to realize this stranger seemed to care more than Kyle did when she finally spilled to him that Spring Bonnie was moving and seemed to be gunning for her
    • Kyle was more enthused to realize that the dang thing still worked. Apparently when they messed around with it during the day, it either couldn't or wouldn't move.
    • ... Once again, she had to wonder how no one noticed the smell
    • This shift, Spring Bonnie tried crawling into the vents several times, and the phantoms were coming out of the woodwork. The apparitions didn't do much beyond gunk up her systems and scare her, but they were making it very difficult to deal with Spring Bonnie
    • Six AM couldn't come fast enough
    • The recording today only made her suspicions stronger. There was a body in Spring Bonnie. At first she had wondered if it was a kid, but now she had to wonder about if this was an employee
    • When she passed through the parking lot, there was a single car, and she thought she saw a head of brown hair. However, she was so spooked, she didn't look harder and booked it back home.
  • Night 5
    •  She talks with Michael when she runs into him first. And mentions her theory about an employee possibly haunting the animatronic. He doesn't discount the possibility, but he's drawing a blank on who that could be. He off-handedly mentions how FE could make people disappear, and that only brought back memories of hearing people talk about her grandfather.
    • When she plays Follow Me, she's fairly certain she's right. The game showed someone hopping in a yellow rabbit suit after running from kid ghosts, and the suit promptly locked up. Presumably killing the person.
    • When she turns around to tell Michael as much, his face had turned sheet white. Which was saying something considering his already pale skin.
    • He talks about the child disappearances/murders, and she suddenly recalls one of her grandfather's earlier recordings about the undetectable room.
    • When she says that, he looks away. When he looks at her again, he finally says that he's fairly certain the killer is in Spring Bonnie.
    • Once again, he emphasizes that this is way too dangerous
    • And while this time, she is far more spooked, she wasn't kidding about being desperate for money
    • She was able to handle him the other nights, one more should be fine
    • This time, he doesn't back down, but she fundamentally feels like she CAN'T leave this job. Kyle has too much riding on her, and she can't drop her end of the bargain
    • She ignores him in favor of playing The Happiest Day.
    • There's a finality in the ghost children dropping the masks of the FE mascots
    • In small print in a corner, there is a "thank you"
    • She and Michael are silent as the machine shuts off, probably for the last time
    • He finally breaks the quiet as he asks if she wants him to stay through the night.
    • She declines out of fear of getting reprimanded
    • It takes one of the other workers coming in to check on her for him to finally leave, though she's almost certain the same car from yesterday is parked in the parking lot again.
    • This night is awful
    • Spring Bonnie is trying its best to get to her, and the audio cues are only working twice before she has to reboot them, the phantoms are even worse, and her heartrate is through the roof.
    • About an hour into the night, she realizes that the tape that Kyle said was going to play hasn't yet
    • Can't really look into that at the moment
    • When a call comes through, she almost jumps out of her chair
    • At first, she isn't paying a lot of attention to the recording since Spring Bonnie keeps trying to play vent tag, and the ghosts keep knocking her systems off
    • But when her grandfather says her name, she suddenly tunes back in
    • He's talking about feeling bad about the hiding what the company did
    • Shocked, she had never heard him apologize about the company
    • None of this was adding up-
    • Until the voice cracks on laughter and Kyle's normal speaking voice comes over the phone
    • "Heeeey, how did you like my Grandpa Caldwell impression?"
    • "I'm a little busy! That thing is trying to kill me!"
    • "Oh shit, is it moving, again? That's great! Just make it 'til morning and we'll check that out!"
    • She calls his name so hard, her voice cracks, but he already hung up and started the actual tape he was supposed to play
    • She almost missed Spring Bonnie hiding in the hallway right by the office door
    • After another lure, she tries to take some deep breaths to calm down
    • She can cry later
    • At one point, she can see Spring Bonnie getting distracted by something at the far "exit" but she can't figure out what
    • A faint thumping at the door?
    • The phantoms are losing their damn minds if she can guess based on their activity
    • At some point, she swears she can hear a voice, but its so muffled she can't tell if it was a real voice or another hallucination
    • That reminds her to reset the ventilation
    • She's stuck waiting for the panel to finish the process
    • The heavy footsteps of the animatronic get louder
    • Another audio cue to drag it away
    • The next hour is a repeat of the whole process
    • Despite the far exit still having noises, Spring Bonnie eventually starts ignoring them
    • At about five AM, shit hits the fan
    • All her systems went down at the same time, and Spring Bonnie was peeking at her through the door
    • Unable to work the reset panel in her panic, she stared it down
    • Unfortunately, with the air system not working, the warmth of the room became unbearable, and she couldn't breathe
    • She swears she blinked, and suddenly Spring Bonnie was in her face. (was that a human jaw when the mouth moved?)
    • She lets out an ear piercing scream
    • The sound seemed to stun Spring Bonnie just long enough for Kidd to make a run for it
    • She slid around it and made a run for the far exit
    • The closer one was locked, and she didn't think she could work the door without getting caught
    • The animatronic was hot on her heels, though thankfully, it couldn't keep up with her
    • She all but crashed into the exit, and when she wrenched it open, she did not expect to see the person on the other side
    • It was Michael
    • He's just as surprised as she was
    • He suddenly looks past her and pulls her outside
    • Not liking the sudden manhandling, she yelps and yanks his hand off her arm
    • Before words can be exchanged, Spring Bonnie is very visibly gunning for the door
    • Michael yells at her to get out before running in and slamming the door behind him
    • She can hear the sound of a struggle on the other side
    • It suddenly clicks that he's been trying to help her all night
    • She's terrified, but when she hear a pained scream, she makes a decision
    • Grateful she never actually removed her backpack that night, she starts digging for something that could help
    • Well... Spring Bonnie didn't react well to loud sounds
    • She creaked the door open to peer in, and Spring Bonnie has Michael in a stranglehold and pinned to a wall
    • .... Was Spring Bonnie speaking? Or was that the Killer?
    • It said Michael's name as  she sneaked behind it
    • and held an air horn right by the head of the animatronic
    • The sound scared Spring Bonnie so much, that it dropped Michael immediately and tried to cover its ears
    • Not the rabbit ears, but where a human's ears would be if they had them
    • She didn't stick around to see Michael scramble away, but with eyes on her again, she lured Spring Bonnie back to the other exit.
    • The door jammed
    • Before Spring Bonnie could grab her, something hit the wall beside her, and then Michael full body tackled Spring Bonnie
    • "BURN IT!"
    • The object was a lighter
    • After a few flicks, she dropped the lighter in the pile of cardboard boxes and ran past the struggling pile of man and animatronic
    • She wasn't sure why, but she was surprised when she made it back to the opened exit and she was alone.
    • "Michael!?"
    • Her heart dropped as she stood there in silence
    • She almost went back in when he suddenly appeared at her side
    • "I unjammed the other door"
    • And then he promptly barred the one they were at.
    • All they could do was let the fire do its job
  • Aftermath
    • Apparently the car that had been in the parking lot was his
    • She didn't have anywhere she could go, so followed him to the car
    • Before she could get in, though, her legs gave out
    • And the night caught up to her
    • Ashamed, she couldn't contain her tears
    • Crying in front of a guy she barely knew was already embarrassing
    • At first, it didn't help that he was extremely awkward about it
    • But he did more than her family ever did
    • He sat down on the asphalt nearby and offered her tissues
    • When she calmed down, he offered her a blanket he had kept in his car (Was he sleeping in the parking lot?), and let her lay down in the backseat while he put in an obligatory call to 911 for the building fire.
    • To this day she's not sure if she actually trusted him this much or if she didn't really care anymore about her own safety
    • The story they told the cops and firefighters was that he had been driving by and saw the fire and helped get her out
    • The cameras weren't exactly recording, so it wasn't like they had evidence against them
    • When Kyle showed up, he lost his mind about the burnt down attraction
    • It wasn't until halfway through the rant that he finally asked about Kidd
    • He didn't even bring up how odd it was that she trusted some random guy enough to get in his car
    • He even asked Michael to take her back home while he tried to salvage the place
    • Michael obliges after making sure she's fine with it
    • She didn't care
    • When they get to the apartment complex she and Kyle lived in, she couldn't be bothered to move
    • Returning to the apartment that they were absolutely going to lose now was unbearable
    • Michael was patient, however, and let her work up the motivation to move
    • He even walked her to the door
    • Asked if she had any food
    • When she responded in the negative, he told her he would bring her something
    • She tried to turn him down, but he wouldn't hear of it
    • While he was gone, she took a shower, and changed out of her work uniform that she no longer needed
    • He had gotten her a breakfast sandwich from a nearby fastfood place
    • She thanked him for everything, and to her surprise, he thanked her as well.
    • She declined any other offers for help, and sent him on his way
    • The sandwich was probably the best thing she ever ate
    • She had to put in earbuds and let her phone play music so that she could sleep. The very awake apartment complex wasn't going to stay silent for a third shift worker, so she had to drown out the noise somehow
    • When she has more rest, she suddenly remembers that that thing knew Michael's name.
Canon split. Her story here has two variants, my solo canon, and then a canon lovingly called Twinverse that I share with worldofstardust where we have two "Michael Aftons"

  • Solo Canon
    • She and Michael grow a very close sibling bond, and Michael tries to give her everything that he was unable to give his siblings
      • She's able to hide her important documents and expensive possessions at his place, and he provides much needed stability
    • When Pizza Sim happens, she's at college (thanks to Michael, and absolutely no thanks to Kyle), but he video calls her and she helps him through a lot of technical issues
    • At the end, she is devastated to find out the place burnt down and apparently disappeared into a sinkhole
    • By now she knows he is functionally immortal, and is desperately searching the area
    • Finally has to give up because she also doesn't want to bomb the chance he gave her for a better life
    • Still occasionally revisits the area until FE blocks it off entirely
    • She randomly gets interviewed about her experiences at Fazbear Frights, and ends up incredibly salty that it's used in an FE propaganda game
    • Very glad she neglected to mention Michael there
    • During Security Breach era, she  ends up breaking in at one point after hearing about the pit under the raceway.
    • tbd
  • Twinverse
    • The sibling bond with Michael still occurs, but in addition to him, she also ends up befriending Lili, who had gotten a vision about what happened and had a come to jesus moment with Kyle (kyle probably got punched), and their friends
    • Also meets Michael's twin brother, Mike
    • At first, really does not like Mike since he was incredibly cruel to Michael at first
    • The group comes together due to trying to hunt down Michael and Mike's father. And video game nights.
