Monarch comes from a species called “Eternians.” Eternians live on one of the two halves of their planet Duality, this side being referred to as “Eternus.”. The name stems from the split that separates the two species living on the planet. On the other half, which is called Infernus, live the Infernians, who in turn, are demon-like beings.

Species: Eternians are Angel based aliens who are known for being corrupt and power hungry, thus making great politicians, for example. They have their own language they speak through telepathy, and are able to use light magic in offensive and defensive capabilities. They don’t have a given appearance, and can differ widely on how they look and what they can do with their magic.

PROFESSION: 

Monarch works for an individual she refers to as “The Oracle.” The Oracle is the leader of a secret network of Information Broker, who have spread their influence all over the galaxy, while growing their reach still. To them, there is no good or bad. There’s only business, and they refuse to take a side on a matter. They’ll simply sell whatever information their clients wish to purchase, and nothing more. The Oracle usually doesn’t talk or show their face, they only speak through Monarch, though the legitimacy of the Oracle is somewhat questionable.

Monarch is the second in command for this business. She seemingly leads the business under the Oracle’s hand and is the go to person for anything that has to do with the business. She has several Information Broker who work under her and agents that inform her, should a potential client want to do business.

SKILLS / ABILITIES: 

Light Magic: (Int)
Monarch is able to wield Light Magic, due to her angelic origins of the Eternian species. This can come in a number of which, which are exceptional against forces of the unholy. While this has a great many uses, Monarch focuses her light magic on healing her wounds and the like.

Telepathy:
Monarch speaks through telepathy, projecting her own thoughts into the heads of others. This is the only way she can speak, and while these thoughts are projected in the heads of others in their common tongue, it’s actually spoken in a language only she can understand. It becomes immediately translated, so to speak.

▶ Personality

To Monarch, a conversation that isn’t about her or her goals is a conversation not worth having. She is her own most important person. Through years of cruel upbringings, she turned into a focused survivalist, who will do whatever is needed to follow what she is after.

Monarch knows what she wants, and knows how to get it. She is trained in manipulating others through words and actions, yet shows fierce loyalty to the people that follow her. A fact she will make it very clear to anyone who would defect her, and makes a point to stay honest to her forces.

She cares little about others, if they are not somehow important to her, but still shows a charismatic exterior towards them, should they provide some sort of usefulness later on. Despite this, even when revealing her own true, cruel colors, she wields them in a charming way to allure others.

▶ History

Given the harsh conditions of her homeworld, Monarch was forced to keep up her guard constantly. As the only child of a rish, influential family, she had high expectations placed upon her, and wouldn’t be allowed any mistake or deviation from these expectations.

Her daily life contained all manner of things that she hated, but what she always remembered was the manipulation. The way of swaying others with words, blackmailing them with information. She was fascinated by how mere words could hold so much power.

So when she was old enough, and had the needed money, she left her home-planet, never to come back to it again. It wasn’t easy, but she had managed to take her life into her own hands, along with a few loyalists who still supported her, and wished to flee with her. It was this crew that began with the business of Information Brokering.

She was trained in it through her years as a political figure, and knew how to make herself known in the business. It wouldn’t be long until she was approached by the Oracle, who had need for her crew and talents. She worked under her ever since.
