Temperance

Created to stand watch over a secluded cathedral of Kelemvor which housed one of the last remaining relics of the god - his buster sword - Temperance was one of several effigies of paladins and clerics, brought to life by a human archmage and imbued with the purpose to guard this holy relic. Named of seven cardinal virtues, her brothers and sisters stood vigil as an intimidating presence over this hallowed ground for over 100 years before darkness befell it and destroyed the others, taking Kelemvor's sword and leaving Temperance behind. Worse for wear, and humiliated, she went into hiding and refused to leave the ruins of the cathedral where they once stood proud, protecting the space and the holy sword once held within its walls. She's lost count of the years at this point, her stone body cracked and weathered, making it her new duty to scare off grave robbers from the cemetery or steal other remnants from the church. Tired of the pity and embarrassment she felt for herself, Temperance decided enough was enough - she needed to find the stolen sword and return it to its proper resting place. Setting out into the world for the first time, she has tried hard to blend in though she does get mistaken to be of tiefling lineage often which she tries to use to her advantage when entering new spaces. Temperance has kept herself silent about her mission, not wanting to draw attention to herself.
