Nioni is a refugee of a Chaos Storm that destroyed her village and everything inside. Having nothing left, she clings to the stories she has been told about the Guardian of the Island. Insecure, traumatized and looking for purpose, she seeks shelter in the Chaotix faction.

While easily frightened and not exactly a star with modern technology, Nioni wishes for no more than to be able to be of use to the Guardian. After the Chaos Storm, she was not quick to make friends. Friends she does make, however, she treasures greatly.

Nioni lived her life in a relatively quiet area of the Mushroom Hill. Growing up with her parents and her younger brother, her life was calm and peaceful. She spent most of her days exploring the surrounding forests. It was when she was out in one of those forests that disaster struck. Just as she returned, her village visible in the distance, chaos itself unfurled over the hill, consuming everything in its path. The first few moments were the most violent, the sounds of destruction deafening. After a few hours, the storm calmed down, but it never stopped. Nioni was stunned, all she could do was look as everything she ever knew turned to ash forever. In some moments, she could peer through the chaos. In a way, she knew nothing could survive violence on that scale, but she couldn’t believe it.
She spent an entire day sitting on the forest edge, watching the storm pounding at the remains of everything she loved without relenting.

She sat there until her stomach screamed at her and her tears had long since ran dry. She knew she couldn’t stay there, but she couldn’t bring herself to leave.

As the sun started to go down, at the end of the second day, she decided to turn to the one she had only heard stories about. The guardian of this island, who kept watch over the Master Emerald. Her village was beyond saving, but he needed to know about it so that others would be spared that terrible fate.

It was a long trek to where she knew she would find the Guardian. A difficult path. She saw other storms, far away, on her journey. The Guardian must have known about it already, nobody could miss this. But she would still seek him. She had nothing else left but the stories she had been told.

In the end, she did find the Guardian of Angel Island, and recovered from her long journey by his side. She would stay by him, eventually even being sworn into the Chaotix. When Scourge and Doctor Finitevus attacked, she hid behind the altar until the Master Emerald was destroyed. When Knuckles was eventually dragged away by his friends, she would feel her stomach lurch as the island went down, crashing on the continent of Northamer.

She had survived another catastrophy. Climbing out of the rubble, she would need to find her way back to the Guardian…

Nioni can produce dish soap bubbles, which are very effective at cleaning things, from her fingertips. When producing larger bubbles, she can also control their flight paths and have the bubbles produce sound when they pop.
