She has a small shop of sorts in Possibility where she serves as an unusual role, as a healer of the mind. Her shop is aesthetically adobe sandcrete, with mostly small windows aside from one on the back of the house which is covered by a thin drape to cast light inside for sun time. On the roof, there's a small pool with water drawn in through pipes. A tarp is hung near the pool to provide shade in the morning, allowing Shimmer to have cool morning baths. The pool is also a great place for her SeaWing guests to relax. To the left side of her house, a wet clay pit can be found, covered by a tarp overhead—serving as a comfortable space for her MudWing guests. There are a few clay pots surrounding her door filled with succulent plants. To the right of her door there's a purple drape with a cream surround inlaid with a spiral pattern, signifying her shop. The door to her home has curtains pinned up either side, much like her circular windows do. To the left upon entering is a small table for brewing teas, the rest of the home is filled with various and mismatched pillows of different colours, shapes, and sizes, some with tassles and some without. The centre of her home is dominated by a massive pillow, Shimmer's sunning pillow. The only other feature is a small stairway leading down to a very modest basement where Shimmer has a workshop for experimenting with new concoctions, and shelves to keep track of her notes and recipes.

Her hide is a dark iridescent magenta with salmon-coloured stripes. Her wings are of a similar colour unless she's having them shimmer, at which point they tend to take on soft shades of blue with cyan as a basis. Her body is generally that of a SeaWing, but with the fins of a RainWing and an increased overall chunkiness to her body that comes from her SeaWing side. A predominant detail on her hide is a smatter of swirls and spirals. Her tail curls like a RainWing's and is very prehensile, though this also means she's not an especially good swimmer.

For the most part, she's a very quiet person. She likes to listen, and she takes after her mother in that regard. Though she does also have some of her father's smugness and sass, which she tends to know when to leverage as is necessary. There's an underlying mischievous streak too, which only airs every now and then. She tends to like to think of herself as regal, refined, and graceful at least to an extent, though it's questionable just how much she is of any of those things. She can at least be somewhat wise, which certainly helps with her chosen vocation.

A golden pendulum on a beaded wire that clips to a ring on her left horn close to her head, wraps around her horn, and then clips once again to another ring near the tip and dangles from there. It can also be clipped to her tail. — A pair of bronze hoop earrings. — A necklace given to her as a gift by her father, a silver-chain containing three opalite gems and an opalised ammonite. — A scarf clipped to her necklace that drapes loosely around her neck, made of a very light material and inlaid with iridescent thread in the pattern of spirals to match her wings and markings.

Her hybridisation allows her wings and fins to bioluminesce, to a much lesser degree than her SeaWing lights but enough to be visible. Her SeaWing lights also have a swirling, opalescent quality to them. Shimmer found that with the correct application of both she was able to guide dragons into a state of trance. A talent she uses to aid them with pathologies and to ease the pain of injuries and wounds.
