Noah was the original Welfare Department Head when Carmen was still alive. They preceded the Sefirot Chesed and Laverne Rivas, current Head Researcher, Head Doctor and Captain of the Welfare Department. They were the original researcher who implemented the emergency protocols of Lobotomy Corporation, and was the one who pioneered the Deterrence after extensive study of Cogito.

Story

History

Noah Landau was Nest born, but was kidnapped at an early age.

The survivor of a killing game as a child, Noah was auctioned off into a family where he was originally raised to be a gladiator of some sorts for future killing games. However, he proved to have high intelligence, and the family decided they would have new use for him.

Noah proved to have a brain woth advanced development, and his intellect was used and abused to maintain the family name, as well as being paraded as a "rescued child." It was because of this that Noah was repressed for most of his adolescent life. Whenever his feelings would boil over, he was catty and explosive, not stopping even if arguments got physical. This got him into plenty of trouble within the household and was called ungrateful.

He always begrudgingly agreed to go with his family to killing games and painfully relived his own traumas very frequently. He hated his family for it, and eventually ran away from home with stolen money and some necessities. Noah wanted to be someone who can save others, maybe to compensate for the fact he had to watch these lives treated like toys and commodities, knowing he was one of them as well. It almost felt childish, but it was what he believed in and what drove him to keep pushing forward and never looking back home. Reliving his trauma frequently was enough.

He worked as a Fixer to earn money to afford medical school, and he more often than not was a working student who struggled. When he graduated; however, he immediately applied to an emergency response office. Noah didn't exactly fit in well with the rest of his colleagues, but he did his job well and was commended for it. He felt fulfilled in his work there, finally feeling some sense of peace from the guilt he carried over many years.

There was but one problem. His anger issues. Noah never got help for his temper, and also for the way he set extremely high expectations of others and lashes out when they didn't meet them. He was a very expectant person who always carried his weight, never truly considering others' feelings about things. When it came to work, it was his way or the highway.

And yet he somehow found himself married a few years later, in which marriage became a catalyst for him to try and change. His life had been looking up for the past few years, and maybe he felt that he could reconcile with his past. He was married for a few years and adopted two children, but his history of his temper came back to bite him. Fearing that one day Noah may snap, his husband and kids left him, leaving him dejected for something he tried to control for them. It was unfair, as he would, and more of could never part with his condescending aggression. Ever.

Plot

He met Carmen a few months after he was divorced. Down on his luck as a Fixer and broken from what happened to his life, he did not think much about what Carmen was saying, and just agreed to help her. He only began to think about his choices after he finally began working at her lab.

Due to his expertise in the medical field and emergency response, he was in charge of the Welfare Department. He was in charge of developing emergency protocols during breaches, especially for clerks. He wrote manuals on these protocols and he worked with Benjamin to have said protocols up and running to ensure the safe conditions and regulations put in place for the facility.

Now, Noah still had not let go of his temper and aggression. However; he was able to temper it out with the assistance and company of his fellow Department Heads. His aggression and condescension turned into banter and catty remarks, becoming significantly less harmful as he originally was.

He died when Queen of Hatred breached. He evacuated all test subjects and researchers before they could be killed by her laser. Noah was the only one caught in the blast, and Ayin and Benjamin salavaged what they could of his brain; later creating the Qlipha named Gamchicoth.
