U'ilani is a strong girl. She is overprotective of her friends and family but is devout to learning new things. While she doesn't think she deserves to be Corvina's successor she knows that she will do her best to meet the Head Alchemist's expectations and example, and do her best she does. She pours every chance she gets into learning as much as she possibly can, practicing her techniques, and making sure she's doing things the right way. She's also very curious, delving into new factions of Al'Shifa when she gets the chance and incorporating some aspects into her alchemy to try to make them more powerful.

U'ilani was born to her loving parents. She grew a normal life with her sister, [insert name here], and learned quite a bit from her father about the history of Arilyan. She learned about the old gods, those who have since fallen, those who have risen in their place, and those who have been around since the dawn of Arilyan. This caused her to seek out Al'Shifa when she came of age to leave her parents' den to be able to learn as much as she possibly could. When she arrived and joined, however, she found that healing was her calling. The herbs and alchemy ingredients and combinations fascinated her to a degree that no history lesson possibly could. After this realization hit her, she told her fathers that she'd like to stay, to which they reluctantly agreed. After all, what place was safer for their daughter than a place of healing and peace? It was then that U'ilani met Oracle, the leader of Al'Shifa. She explained that she'd seen a vision of U'ilani, that she'd be helping and learning from the Head Alchemist of Al'Shifa and, eventually, taking her place. It was the first time that the munchkin drakanis was speechless. She was destined to heal after all, but it had just become blatent that she was destined for more than that. She had to lead the healers of Al'Shifa... It was a lot to take in, but the young drakanis only held her head high and agreed to do it. She then met her mentor, someone she would eventually come to call "Mother" alongside her actual parents. Her name was Corvina, and she had a lot to teach U'ilani. The first thing U'ilani noticed was Corvina's disability, but she forced herself to keep her gaze on the adult's eyes instead of her hind end, not that Corvina could be that easily deceived. She told the story of how the injury happened, how hard it was to keep going, but that thanks to her friends and family she was able to do it and that she was stronger than ever now. The story inspired U'ilani to be strong willed, even in the face of uncertanty. She was taught the importance of listening to everyone, to hear what they say and figure out the true meaning behind the words. It wasn't but a paw-full of years before U'ilani surpassed her mentor, though she would never admit that. She still thinks of Corvina as the master and her the apprentice instead of them both as masters.
