hedonistic — self-indulgent, always in pursuit of pleasure to escape the pain she refuses to acknowledge.

rebellious — hates the rules and being controlled in any way. will ultimately do whatever she wants, and will probably do it just to spite you.

independent — finds it hard to form close bonds, and believes she can only rely on herself. if you never trust anyone, you can never be betrayed.

reckless — rarely ever thinks past her impulses, often losing sight of consequences. doesn’t take consequences seriously anyways.

persistent — absolutely nothing will change her mind once it’s set on something. doesn’t know how to take no for an answer.

insecure — doesn’t feel worthy of validation and has a hard time accepting praise. acts tough as a front.

history

born in siregal, into the strict and violent faction known as the vow. her mother, inferi, is well known among them as one of the fiercest warriors and most efficient assassins. unfortunately, inferi lacked any capacity to be a mother. when valasca was eight, inferi took her to the vow’s ivras location, and essentially abandoned her to the will of the lord regent antioch.

antioch oversaw her education and training from that point on.

as a teenager, valasca began to rebel. she pushed boundaries, broke traditions, and tested antioch’s patience more than once. she hung around the fighting pits, and was almost never without the pack of teenaged werewolves who were in training to become antioch’s personal guardsmen like their fathers before them.

on her eighteenth birthday, antioch released her from the vow. he chose not to ex-communicate her, as she had never betrayed them, but he was seemingly frustrated with her lack of obedience and discipline, and he encouraged her to go out into the world in order to better appreciate what the vow had to offer her.

in present day faline, valasca lives in a run-down apartment that was partially destroyed by the hagia incident. she hates where her life is at and spends her time trying to escape it in any way that she can.
