Aven is a protector goddess, tasked with returning stolen energy to her homeland Curiah. She takes this job seriously, and it doesn't matter who has to die -- or worse -- as long as she fulfills her goals.

Aven, known previously as Goddess Shika, used to live in her homeland of Curiah. She would use her memory powers (creating false memories and removing memories) to punish those who tried to steal the world's greatest resource, its energy.
She notably banished the goddess Kornephoros and removed her memories, leaving the latter goddess to be sent to Earth with no recollection of her previous status or home. When the company Ares stole energy from Curiah for use in technology, Goddess Shika also banished Keeper Sacchan, who aided in this theft.
As Ares went on to use the energy for a cyborg called Tekuka, Goddess Shika went to Earth by becoming Goodwin Arcana's daughter, hatching from an egg fully as her own self, but now having a reluctant sense of obligation to Goodwin. Because of this, now called Aven, she is an ageless being, both hundreds of years old and less than a year old at the same time, representing the very energy cycle of renewal and indestructibility that she serves to protect.
Her main mission on Earth is to retrieve the stolen energy and bring it back to Curiah, but doing this would kill the vessel the energy resides in. She is relentless in this goal, but rather than kill Tekuka herself, she tried to make use of those around her. She is also interested in the limits of mortals and used such things to her advantage, such as implanting a device in someone's head and flooding it with hundreds of years of memories, just to see if that person would break and carry out Aven's goals, or be out of the way. She also has no issue with murder if she has no further use for someone, even if that person is dedicated to her plans.
She likes to use the already existing tensions between people as a way to further her plans, especially when it is exploiting the doubt people have for one another, or the fear they have for those they care about. It is through these means she was able to manipulate Soru Omoide (and his doubt of Marun Ookami, as well as his fear of his reputation being ruined) and Garu Orochi (and his fear for his daughter's life) respectively.
Personality: Aven is cold-hearted and ruthless, harboring a sense of sadism in her work. She uses her memory powers indiscriminately, showing anyone in her way hundreds of years of memories in a few seconds to break their will, and she takes joy when her job allows her to kill someone. She has a sense of immaturity to her at rare moments, and while she pretends to be above emotions, they sometimes get the better of her, leaving her to act irrationally.
When presented with an opponent who can withstand torture, she takes it as a challenge, and considers a severe treatment more important than an efficient one, even as far as her job is involved. Despite this, she bores easily of a target if it is not for her job, suggesting that she simply considers her reprehensible actions as merely a way to liven up her day job.
