Fable

Story

They a barn owl hybrid who grew the wings and feathers  later in life, puberty! (Back Pain and Wings you didnt really want!)
Saying shes a bit of a pyromaniac is an understatement, its the one thing she could say she had control of in all her life.
The burn scars weren't caused by her though, due to superstition surrounding birds as bad luck and how her kind isnt common at all  outside her home town, she was trapped in a house as it burned around  her.  (She only survived with help of a god in her favour)
For the worldbuilding aspect, the world is recovering from an  apocalypse, around 200 years in the future after all old electric tech  was lost. But while screens and such aren't coming back anytime soon,  trains are back in commission and magic is making a long needed  resurgence.
