Nekokuro Miyu (猫黒美夕)

Miyu Nekokuro (猫黒美夕, Nekokuro Miyu), also known as 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝗸𝗼 (ミスネコ, Misuneko[?]), is a first-year student at Shiketsu High School, training to become a Pro Hero.

She's the youngest daughter of Hideo Nekokuro and Nekomi Nekokuro (née Nekoko), and a younger sister of Ichiro, Akina, Jiro and Emiko.

Miyu is short and rather petite teenager with slim, but suprisely quite muscular body. Her eyes are big, in colour of lime green, while her hair are black and cutted in a bob. She's distinguished by her cat ears, nose and tail, as well as white, grey, black skin/fur.

During school hours, Miyu wears Shiketsu uniform. Sometimes men's, sometimes women's.

There are two colors in Miyu's hero costume - green and silver. It consists of jacket, pants and waistband. The top is pretty much inspired by (kung fu) Nan Quan uniform. However pants are slightly similar to those from Shaolin (kung fu) uniform.

People meeting her for the first time usually expect her to be sweet, polite and even shy or cowardly, but the truth is, despite having these traits, Miyu doesn't show them often. She appears pretty cold, collected and serious.

She's kinda asocial person and usually doesn't speak much. From time to time she makes an unpleasant comment or remark. Most of the time she speaks in a calm, bored tone, but you can sometimes hear her speaking to peers in an arrogant manner. Following the strict Shiketsu rules is something she's known for or rather for constantly reminding other students about them whenever they break them or are about to. She's seen by many as a boring killjoy because of it. She's very intelligent. Teacher see her as responsible student and trust her. She was suggested to become class representative, but she rejected this offer.

Besides her "coldness", she can be also very harsh and tends to push people away, but she usually regrets it later on, what makes her personality similar to tsunshun. The truth about Miyu is that she gets very easily and quickly attached. Not only to people, but also to places and routine. She hates changes, even the small ones.

She calls her classmates a bunch of idiots, but she deeply cares for each of them and will do everything to keep them safe, because after all, underneath Miyu's unapproachable aura, there's a caring and loyal friend. She might even be slightly overprotective at times. An interesting fact is that she's not so hard to amuse as others expect. She's less serious in private, around her close friends and family. (Doesn't mean she's not rude though.) She likes to tease others playfully, but has to feel comfortable enough around them, what makes it usually a good sign.

Miyu was born as a fifth child and a third daughter in a wealthy family on 7th May, in Japan, in Tochigi Prefecture. Miyu's childhood life was rather good, however despite having siblings, she never had enough companionship as they never wanted to play with her and her parents had little to no time because of the amount of work.

During the age of 5 she developed admiration for martial arts, thanks to her eldest brother and began learning and training along his side. When she turned 8 years old, her family moved to Yamanashi Prefecture. She was a kinda shy and very submissive kid. Because of that she has been used for her kindness by some of her acquaintances. Once she realised that, she developed herself a harsh attitude before going to middle school.

She applied to UA High School, but failed practical exam. However she got accepted into Shiketsu and she attends there since then.

Overall abilities

Miyu is small, but athletic and experienced in hand to hand combat. She's also very intelligent, what helps during creating plans. She specialises in suprise attacks.

Quirk

Cat (猫, neko): Miyu's quirk gives her attributes, abilities and traits of a domestic cat.
This grants her excellent flexibility and agility. She also has highly-tuned sense of
balance, acute hearing and smell. It's said that her night vision is not as good as real
cats', but it's still way better than humans'. Additionally, she can transform her limbs
(hands and legs) into paws and posseses slightly enhanced speed.

Nekomi Nekokuro

Miyu has rather positive and close relationship with her mother and it's clear they love each other, though Miyu often gets annoyed,
when her mom starts commenting and criticising her lifestyle, yet in the end Nekomi still lets her daughter do whatever she wishes
and doesn't stop her.

Hideo Nekokuro

It's easy to see that Hideo loves and cares a lot about his child. He didn't like Miyu's idea about going to hero course, but he agreed,
because he wishes to support Miyu in reaching her dream, however it's hard for him, because he doesn't want her to get hurt.

Ichiro Nekokuro

Ichiro is the oldest, yet gets along and has the closest relationship with Miyu out of all of her siblings. He's supportive towards her.
They share the love for martial arts and often train together. Ichiro is like an idol for Miyu, so she looks up to him, but won't admit it so
easily.

Akina Nekokuro

Relationship between Miyu and Akina is pretty neutral. They see each other quite rarely, since Akina got her own life quickly and is
often busy, however when they're together, they're chill with each other and treat each other nicely.

Jiro Nekokuro

Jiro and Miyu have love-hate time of relationship dynamic. They love annoying each other. They can be impressed, they can be proud
of each other, they can be protective, but they will probably never admit any of that, let alone say that themselves.

Emiko Nekokuro

Emiko and Miyu's relationship is a pure chaos. Once you'll hear them insulting each other and arguing, then you'll see them cuddling
on the couch together, so it's another love-hate relationship like with Jiro, just usually without being impressed.

Inasa Yoarashi

Inasa and Miyu have been neighbours since Nekokuro family moved in Yamanashi Prefecture. At first Miyu was avoiding this
cheerful boy and haven't really spend time or spoken to him until middle school. Then they became friends pretty quickly and their
friendship still lasts.

Teishi Tōnō

Miyu and Teishi are said to be friends, but they aren't seen speaking with each other often, however it's said they text with each
other more and they seem to like each other's company.

Seiji Shishikura

Miyu's first meeting with Seiji wasn't pleasant at all. On her first day at Shiketsu he scolded her. He got a slap with a hat in his face
and detention from principal. In addition principal decided he's gonna guide and help Miyu, whenever she needs it, during her first year.
They started tolerating each other after some time.

Kowasu Kirugara

Miyu's one of those people who aren't scared of scary, strict devil and she often appears to rather tease Kowasu, actually, but they
have a good dynamic in the background. They became close friends suprisely quickly and care for one another. They know those sides of
each other, others usually don't notice.

Nagamasa Mora

Miyu respects Nagamasa. They can be seen talking with each other sometimes, but their relationship isn't expanded.

Camie Utsushimi

Camie thinks Miyu looks adorable, but she's not a fan of her personality. The funny thing is Miyu thinks in a very similar way of
Camie. In conclusion, they know each other, but their relationship isn't developed.

Mashirao Ojiro

Mashirao and Miyu met during UA entrance exam. They enjoyed talking with each other, so they exchanged numbers and kept
in touch. Mashirao doesn't always understand Miyu's silly side, but at the same time he doesn't mind it. Aside from that they get along very well.

• Miyu's surname consists the kanji for "cat" (猫, neko) and ''black'' (黒, kuro). Her first name consists "beauty" (美, mi) and "evening" (夕, yū).
• She secretly reads and writes poems.
• She sometimes fall asleep (or is very close to that) on breaks or/and lessons in school.
• The prototype of her personality was somewhat opposite to the end result.
