Sho'sa is not the birth brother of Ken'chi. He was born to another family who he was very close with, they made sure he had everything he needed for a good education. One day as Sho'sa was spending the night with Ken'chi at his home a fire broke out back at his family's home late at night which was said was started by a faulty space heater. The next day Sho'sa returned to his home only to find it burned to the ground, he rushed into the site with his eyes welling with tears despite the officials still dousing the charred remains with water, Ken'chi ran in after him to make sure he didn't hurt himself. Sho'sa soon found himself standing in the spot where his room once stood, the remains of his bed could be seen nearby and under it something caught his eye, a small wolf plushie he shoved under his bed because he thought it was below him but it managed to survive the fire with only its left ear singed. He picked it up out from under the mangled bed springs just before a police official finally caught up with the two young boys and carried them out of the site before they got injured. 

Sho'sa took up living with Ken'chi until his parents finally finished the adoption process of Sho'sa into the Kuroh family. Sho'sa was fortunate that after hearing of what happened to his family that he was granted a full scholarship to the private school he was attending. He currently works for a good pay as a Library assistant for the local college Library.
