Summary
kSjM3LA.gif

Being sheltered for most of his life Sarin is shy and timid, not wanting to get into conflict and only using force as a last resort. This results in him having a hard time speaking up for himself; he is is quick to reassure a person that they do not have to go along with whatever his request was. With a soft voice and meek demeanor Sarin is definitely an oddity among most half-orcs. He likes to think of himself as more of a follower than a leader which is why he usually takes a passive stance when it comes to party decisions. His suggestions are more like a thought that he immediately shoots down regardless if it is a good idea or not. A quirk of his is that due to his limited exposure in regards to the outside world he is very curious. Due to this he can't help but pocket loose coins and other trinkets he comes across. Even though he has a tendency to pick up whatever he sees Sarin is completely law abiding, his alignment being Lawful Good. Sarin also tends to mother other people, fussing over them if they could be hurt. He tries his best to see the best in people and is always willing to give them a second chance. No matter what their past is Sarin can easily forgive, unless they did something irrevocable to his boyfriend Jun.

caution: backstory contains mature themes that may be triggering to others like rape and mutilation. discretion is advised.

Sarin's mother was part of a cut and dry orc tribe, brutal warriors and barbarians. However a group of human thieves began a raid on the tribe but were quickly cut down. Despite the victory one orc was captured by the remaining thieves and violated. She managed to escape but shame prevented her from going back to the tribe. Now pregnant and alone she lived in completely poverty, gradually growing weaker and weaker. While in labor she was noticed by a temple cleric and was quickly rushed in. Unfortunately she died giving birth and the child, Sarin, was sickly, barely managing to survive. Against all odds he survived and seeing this as divine intervention they took him and trained him to become a cleric. In doing so they coddled him, he wasn't allowed outside of the temple until he was 18 and even than he was confined to the temple grounds. Eventually he was allowed outside the grounds but was issued a bodyguard, Jun. Soon Sarin fell in love with the half elf but was afraid admit it until Jun got seriously injured. While protecting him from thieves he had his appendages ripped from his body. Cradling his bloody and torn body Jun managed to save him, but not his arms or legs. His boyfriend got prosthetics but even so, Sarin feels like he owes him his life.
