Bliss is a time traveler from the distant future, in her time science and tech has vastly improved, and everything is sleek, white and clean. Speed and efficiency is more important than anything, which leaves little room for personality and aesthetics, that's where Bliss comes in. Bliss was studying tech design, a pretty standard track for a young person in the future along with programming, and software engineering.
Bliss was a bit different from the others since she really wanted to work in making kids toys and general cute entertainment technology. Most in the future didn't see a use in making tangible toys for children because most parents just use holograms to entertain their kids, but Bliss always thought there could be something more.
Bliss was a standout student among the rest (but not in a good way), she would always get points docked off her assignments for her projects being to elaborate in design from her angel wing-shaped jet pack to her bunny a.i assistant, bun-bot, all projects were labeled needless in design. This led her to research tech designs of the past, and Bliss was really charmed and inspired by the retrofuturism of the olden days (specifically the 2000s).
How each design (especially when it can to toys and games) looked different and unique from the last, in a move to get a more hands-on approach and to go somewhere where she felt more understood, Bliss made a small-time machine device and set up a holographic double of herself so no one would notice that she left, and made her way back to the 2000s....
