Yvaisa

A powerful mage that has lived for a very long time, he grew up in Alcazar back when nonhumans were still considered second-class citizens. His experiences during that time taught him to be quiet, reserved and reticent, and thus despite his power he progressed through the ranks very slowly. While not possessing any real ambition, he still ended up in the role of Lieutenant General by virtue of his age and has ended up as part of the power struggle for the role of mage general when the previous one unexpectedly disappeared. He is a principled, kindhearted, resolute and morally upright man who despairs at what he considers the moral breakdown of the mage division, and seeks the top role to try and reform the mage division from within.

POWERS:

• Ice Manipulation - able to control and manipulate ice and snow, has enough power to cover a town in snow and control the weather there at will
• Steel Wing - summons multitudes of thin metal leaves or shards that he could manipulate at will, usually uses them as a cutting weapon, also usable as a barrier. Often hides his steel blades within the swirling snow
  • Mirror Move - able to use his steel blades to create a specially formulated barrier that reflects direct magic attacks
• Illusion - able to cast illusions over himself and other people, also able to create lifelike illusory scenes using the reflected light of snowfall or his metal blades
• Hypnotism - able to hypnotize people by infusing magic into his voice while talking to them, works better on weak-willed people
• Empathy - a very low-level sensory-only ability, able to detect strong feelings from the people standing near him, capable of finer sensory if he is looking into their eyes, but allows him to detect mental modification used against himself and to resist mental attacks better
• Spell Weave - general purpose magic for everyday use, eg. teleport, healing, buffs, repair spells, binding spells, barrier spells, search spells, hammerspace, etc - can use a lot of weave magic and has created quite a few of his own custom spells, largely because he's a cooped-up hikkikomori of the research institute

NOTES:

• Despite being a fairy, he has no wings as they were cut off at birth. He can create illusory wings for himself, and is quite practiced at doing so. However, he very rarely shows them to anyone else. Sometimes he does make winglike shapes out of his steel blades however, just to be dramatic
• Does quite extensive work in the magic research institute
