Profile
Soured by a broken heart and tragedy, Magdalena is very much a pessimist. She finds a hard time seeing the light in things and does not get her hopes up very often. She speaks with a level of annoyance and high judgement on others, as if they could have alterior motives at any time. It takes a lot to get her to trust you, and even then she keeps the idea of paranoia that you'd betray her eventually. This half empty look on life has made her a bit of a loner and hard to interact with.
Mags is very tidy, she hates dirt despite her gardening and potion and tonic making, she needs everything to be clean and in order. If things are out of the normal she gets flustered and won't stop until they return to something she can work with. Under all her clouds is a maternal women who just got hurt, she is still very caring deep down, it just comes from a place of eventual mistrust now.

- Pushes limits - This witch is not going to quit, when she has a strong feeling she takes through to the end. Mags is willing to push the limits and go on a rampage that will drain her, as long as the job gets done
- Expert in the field - Living in isolation, Mags has gotten a lot of practice with her line of work, she can identify most all plants and list their common uses. She knows what to touch and not to touch and the best course of action when distributing them for materials.
- Trust me - She's had her fair share of betrayal, so Mags is not in the market to do any herself, if she's sticking with you, she's sticking with you, her view will not change or falter. Loyalty is in your best interest as well, she values it and you'll score some friendship points there.
- A mother's touch - she's got a knack of working with children... maybe it's because of experience.
- Lashing out - Magladena does not have a lot of control over her emotions, and this can be seen in her magic, with sudden out bursts of anger or sadness the area around her will change, wilting of grass beneath her feet, the rapid growth of flowers or tree branches, just small things that suddenly become very apparent.
- No hope - Pessimistic as always, Mags isn't the best person to look to for moral and emotional support, quite possibly the opposite. As a mood, she will bring the group down heavily.
- Overexertion - because of a certain recklessness with stamina and pushing limits, Mags would get so exhausted and need lots of recovery attacks. She can't do much offensive magic that won't cause extreme amounts of fatigue because of permanent damaged caused by one particular event in her past in which Mags used all her energy and had to recover for months.
- Out-Witted - if you can outsmart her and show her how wrong she is, Mags will shut up real fast. She hates it when she is wrong.
Originally from a bustling village of magic, Magdalena was seperated from her parents at a young age. Witchcraft was not accepted where Mags was taken. She was taken as a servant in the castle and had to hide her magical prowess from those who stalked the halls. She grew older in those castle walls,tending to the royal family and growing alongside their prince. In secret the two would spend a lot of time together, becoming closer and closer as they grew older. The fondess they had for one another grew into a secret relationship between the two. A witch and a prince had fallen in love, and for a long time it had stayed that way.
The prince was put into a arranged marriage and had to break away from Mags. She around the same time of his wedding, found she was with child and fled in the middle of the night, leaving nothing behind but a note. Heartbroken, Magdalena raised her child alone in the woods. Rapunzel was everything Mags had needed, and she treated her like the princess she was. Fearful that the prince, now king, would one day come to take her daughter, Mags banned her child from ever leaving their cottage. Magdalena would leave and fetch anything they needed, but otherwise they remained complacent in their shared walls. On one of these outings Mags came home to find her daughter missing, stolen. She had a blind outrage, a witch's revenge. Powerful magic that nearly killed her own body stormed the castle and ravenged anyone in her way. In the end, Mags was too late to save her daughter, and killed the love of her life.
Grief ridden and weak Mags returned to the woods, almost dying from the guilt and sorrow, it was a out of place book that saved her from the pain of being alone. Now in Amaiera she is learning how to love again, open to the people coming into her life.
She has plant manipulation! Thorny vines seem to be her go to at this moment in time.
She knows her stuff, keeps bottles of poison in her shop that are for defense purposes.
