STORY | PERSONALITY |
| MODERN: Born to Indian parents but adopted and raised by a white family, Primrose grew up in a predominantly white, affluent neighborhood. As a child, race wasn't something that was spoken about openly in her household. Her older brother, Adam, got into a few schoolyard brawls over comments other kids made about her, but Primrose was blissfully ignorant of any potential turmoil caused by her presence. She understood the concept of racism, but because her family was white, she was raised with the same outsider's perspective on it. Prim knew she had darker skin than her parents and brother, she knew she was adopted, and in some intellectual sense she knew she wasn't white, but it didn't coalesce into a personal Indian identity. None of it connected until one day in high school, when one of the few non-white students at her high school called her a coconut: brown on the outside, white on the inside. Since then, she hasn't necessarily found her place in the racial narrative, but she's definitely more conscious of it. FANTASY: Primrose is the apprentice of a witch. | Primrose is a studious and serious person. She may seem aloof or disinterested in others at first, but in reality she's just shy. She holds a great deal of curiosity about... well, everything. She just doesn't seem like she does due to her flat affect. Once Prim opens up a little, she can even come across as intimidatingly intense. She has strong feelings about things but is frustrated when she can't seem to express herself. She's autistic and was open about it as a child, but learned quickly that admitting to being different makes you a target. She has a much easier time communicating with others online and has made many friends chatting about science fiction and astronomy. ♪ ♪♪ |
