• Her magical ability is that she can produce light. Ever since she lost her left forearm, she's only been able to do it with her right hand.
• The little kids she teaches have nicknamed her left arm "Stumpy". She thought it was funny at first but now unironically calls it that

Mallory has a very positive and outgoing personality. She loves to talk about her intrest in magical artifacts and loves when people ask her about it, especially kids. Around kids, she is more playful and energetic, sharing ghost stories or her knowledge on understanding magic. She is very kind and helpful to anyone that needs her to assist them, not just in her libary work. She tends to work with little breaks, so when she does have down time, she usually spends it with her boyfriend at a cafe or park.

Solis

Mallory was originally born in the main city of Solis. Even at a young age, she showed intrest in learning everything she could about magic. Her family supported her curiousity and would help her take frequent trips to the library until she had read every book on magic in the children's section. By the time her magic had devloped, she inpressed everyone by how quickly she was able to control it. As she got older, she gained a curiousity for more uncommon uses of magic, primarly forbidden spells. When she was 15, she found a book of incatations and wanted to try them out. The first spell she attempted gave her a curse that would later turn her hand to stone. After that, she vowed to never attempt another forbidden spell and focused her efforts on other safer ways to do magic.

About a year later, the met Astrid and the two started studying magical artifacts together. Also around this time, her curse had finally spread completely to her hand. Astrid came to her asking about how to use a staff he recieved as a gift. It only took a year for the two of them to unlock the staff's true power, and ever since she had been intrested in learning as she could about how magical artifacts worked. Maybe, finding an artifact with the power to cure her spreading curse.

Moving to Noctus

After reading every book she could find on magical artifacts, she continued to hit dead ends with how little research had been done. She knew the only place she could find what she was looking for was in Noctus, home to the most archives and reseachers in the world. After staying for a few months, she made the decision to move so that she would be able to research full time and apply for Court of Noctus membership. While the Court doesn't allow anyone other than witches with Moon Witch family to apply, the Upper Court was impressed with her work so far and let her become a researcher as long as she volenteered part-time in the library.

Living in Noctus as a researcher was something that she loves. She especially loves the city of Cassiopeia, the capital of Noctus and where the largest libary is. Working in the library was not downside to her, but an oppertunity to work more closely with other researchers by assisting them. But while working, she started teaching a lot of the kids that would come in, making it a highlight of her day. She started to have even more problems with her curse by the time she was 20. The curse was starting to spread faster and had already reached mid forearm. She had no answer for a cure, so she made the desicion to amputate it. It didn't stop her from continuing her reseach. While she was no longer looking for an artifact to cure her curse, she now turned her attention to writing books on the many artifacts she learned about and hopes to make a guide of sorts on how to use artifacts safely.
