Mercenary from Alderaan (was off planet at the time of its destruction) who was left at the mercy of her current employer, had to agree to a binding contract that boiled down to basically indentured servitude. The contract was sold a few times, and each time, regardless of how much she worked off, she was saddled with the price of buying the contract in the contract, leading to a frustrating sisyphus-ian life she couldn't escape from. Even so, she is a badass with at least 16 knives on her person at all times, and is very good at her job. Her life kinda sucks so she just winds up becoming like a mostly silent badass who hates most people and trusts no one.
Eventually she winds up doing a job on tatooine that goes sideways in the desert near mos pelgo, where she meets and eventually dates cobb vanth and he like helps her fake her own death so she can be rid of the contract
