Trust. Hah... That's a strong word, isn't it..? ...Why, then...? How can anyone trust someone like him? With what's been done in the past... Can someone like him really change for the better...? He, can't imagine how they'd look at him.
No honor among thieves, isn't that right? Ahh, how poetic. In dancing around these feelings, the thief waltzes straight into his own downfall... I wonder... May we dance together one last time, old friend?
...Can he, truly? It's too late for him by now, he's too far gone but... Maybe he could reach, maybe for just a moment he can pretend, that he can be saved from this. This path spiraling downward, counting how many people he'd drag down into the depths just to reach air for a moment. Can that truly be forgiven? Would he not just drag down every hand offered to him, what makes them think they're different? ...Maybe they're both idiots, really. Hah.... 'It's about trying anyways.' right?
Ori's certainly quite the trickster. She's well aware of Ori's many escapades - and yet, she is still extending this hand outward to him. The Grandmaster has always been a firm believer in second chances, in letting people prop themselves up by their own strength and change for the better. This extends to Ori as well. Besides, I don't think many people have given Ori much of a chance to be anything other than a thief... We'll see how it turns out.
A misguided, but nice fellow. A bit prickly around the edges but Gino likes to think there's some softness underneath that layer.
....This trust in him, it's... Misplaced. He knows that... He KNOWS that. Ori will screw it all up eventually, and that trust Ava has will shatter. But, maybe.... Maybe he, can trust her too.
He’s an idiot, and a criminal... but he cares about people when it counts. She hopes… She hopes she can keep counting on him, in the future.
(Please...Catch me when I fall.)
He won't! ...When Nala is looking that is.
Nala draws the line at drinking directly from the pot DO NOT do that. Heathen. (Yeah, Ori can be real thickheaded, that’s for sure. But Nala can’t help but see a bit of their past self in him. ...The only problem with burning bridges like that is that you’ll be left with no one to catch you when you inevitably fall.)
Unfortunately, reminds Ori a lot of himself, in a way. There's a big difference between them though. In an ironic twist, Ori considers them better than him because of that.
Another obstacle in their heist. You just don’t understand- this isn’t a fight they can afford to lose. They don’t. want. your pity. (Does it ring familiar, little Ori?)
Haha. Discomfort.
Be careful where you stick your greedy hands, little thief. Under different circumstances, you might've gotten a little bit more than merely a warning... But no, you weren't his focus this time. You did what you were meant to and played your part- quite well, in fact. For that, thank you.
...Reminds him a little of himself, someone else more so. Someone left behind. It hurts to think about it. A silver tongue and pickpocket... Rings a little too close to home for him.
The sly trickster. He's heard many a tale of this man! Although mostly in passing rumor. The master thief reminds Lucian of himself, in some ways. There's a bit of admiration behind that. Someone Lucian wishes he could rise to the same level as. What a curiosity (or nuisance) that Ori was here, working alongside *that* group... you should know their kind works best on their own.
He is, sorry. It's a weird thing to say, even if he feels that constant guilt. You know Ori! He's, he's a coward, only in it for himself, he doesn't need others! And... No one needs him. She'd be better off if he did, anyways. They'd both be better off if she just let the other shoe drop.
I’m not mad, it’s okay. You just got scared! Tomorrow is another day and we’ll get through this together
"Keep your hands in your pockets this time, Ori."
She has a general distrust for Ori due to his record and wants to make sure he doesn't ruin anything for the Grandmaster.
She has noticed small changes in him though; they're slight and are only noticeable when he's with his teammates, but they're there.
She hopes he truly is trying.
One way to upset Tobias very, very quickly is to mess with his pictures. They’re rather important to him. So, naturally, in making your first impression with him being PILFERING his photographs, you’re going to not make him very enthused to work with you. Ori, being Ori, did exactly that. Well, they got things done in the end. And Ori *can* be rather resourceful. But let it be known Tobias will be keeping a keen eye on his pockets whenever a certain thief happens to saunter into the agency..
Ori! He’s crashed with him a couple times, on the nights that Ori sneaks into the Agency. You can call them roommates. Whenever the two are left in the same room together, you know they’re going to get into something stupid. Lucian has much respect for this man. It almost bleeds into admiration- the desire to emulate that aloofness and independence from relying on others. Ori doesn’t need anyone. Lucian wishes he could say the same.
*Sigh.* ‘S swear, it’s like him and Lucian share the same braincell half of the time. Just don’t drag Menos into your stupidity, especially if it involves the kitchen! Lest Nala ban another item until further notice..
…In the end, he almost ran away, didn't he? How can you trust someone's life in the hands of someone who's only looking out for themselves?
[You will not know pain. You will not know hesitation. You will invite the growth even if it will consume you. You will create even if it will destroy you. You are the host, the beating heart, the garden’s pawn.] >>PROCEED
I see- so Erimentha’s letting just ANYONE into her little agency. Urgh, keep that dirty *thing* out of her face, and out of the Founder’s Garden!
A gilded heart, a smile of silver. It rings… familiar. My, what tricks lie up your sleeve?
Never knew the guy well... My buddy and I just crossed his path from time to time is all.
Ehh... I helped him sell some of his stuff a few times in the past...
How strange- and yet, quite reckless of you to take what is not yours. One way or another someone must pay the price for failure.
