Profile

"Sooner or later, you'll stop caring about what others think..."

Russell Pasolini is an American author who specializes in horror, suspense, crime, and pulp fiction. He is both scrutinized and praised for his violent, satirical depictions of Americana.

Personality
  • Practical
  • Family-oriented
  • Creative
  • Domineering
  • Perfectionist
  • Suspicious

Cool, confident, and deep-thinking, Russell is a complex individual. Not only do women find him sexy, but so do all the men that follow him around. Many are drawn to his character because he looks and behaves the way most men fantasize – rugged and rebellious by nature. Without trying, Russell can command the energy in a room.

Russell’s charisma thinly veils his self-destructive tendencies, which is likely inherited from his father. Unlike him, though, Russell has a dog-like loyalty.

Background

Russell Pasolini was born to award-winning director ███ Pasolini, and his muse and wife, Giulia D’Amato. He grew up in Upstate New York City and attended private school, where he was described to be “obedient, but a hot button”, and would frequently get into fights. His parents weren’t much help in disciplinary action, as they were often in their own altercations, both physical and emotional, through the majority of his childhood. In an interview about his short-story series Distraught, “... I was already associating sex with violence at a young age.”

Even as a youth, Russell was a prolific writer spending most of his time writing late into the night. His earliest known work was a short story written for school about a missing cat found in different plastic bags littered around town, which got Pasolini suspended for 2 weeks. His father, however, even still praises it and quotes it as “his first work exploring class tensions”. Some fans speculate the work is actually a cathartic piece on his speculated sexual trauma with an unknown family friend of his father, which would be a theme in much of his more famous work later on.

Into his early adulthood, Russell Pasolini found success quickly while interning at a local newspaper from his weekly story columns, writing with his mother’s surname to avoid any associations to his father’s monopoly in the media. He married his editor, Lenore Eugenides, somewhere in his college years. On the relationship, Pasolini has said “... it was out of expectations, but I do love her as a friend. We still call each other weekly.” The two divorced amicably in 196X, on grounds of infidelity.

Trivia

  • Russell dropped out of college partially due to his excessive drinking.
  • He has C-PTSD and depression.
  • He loves dogs, but other animals make him anxious.
  • Russell's writing style is similar to Chuck Palahniuk.
  • His penname and mother's maiden name is a reference to Joe D'Amato.

RELATION: BOYFRIEND

At first just friends of friends, they quickly hit it off and were shortly inseparable after. As Russell puts it, "If Norman needed a right hand, I might as well get surgery." Though their affair has caused a great Hollywood scandal, they are deeply devoted and often dedicate works to one another.

RELATION: EX-WIFE

Family friends who married out of convenience. While married, they lived in separate houses across the street from one another, but being editor and writer, they often spent time together anyways. Lenore is aware Russell is homosexual, as she is as well.

Appearance

Russell is broad-shouldered with a cigarette hanging out of his lower lip at most times. His facial hair periodically changes, but always has sideburns feeding into his jawline. He looks the most like his father, and is annoyed by the constant mix-up.

While stylish and precise, Russell prefers comfort above all else. When he isn't wearing his jean jacket, he sports a simple t-shirt tucked into jeans with worn-down boots. Most of his money goes to different, expensive jackets.
