physical health: Vampire - After two full mouthfuls of blood she experiences colorblindness and an inability to feel pain, causing her not to be able to feel or notice any injuries she has received, even if they are life threatening; this will go away after a few hours, so long as she does not consume any more blood. Any more than five mouthfuls of blood, and she will begin to experience blackouts which range from minor (a few minutes) to extreme (a few days) depending on just how much blood she has consumed on top of the color blindness and inability to feel pain.
traits: Madame Macabre is something right out of a child's nightmare. She's... nauseating in the worse kind of way. Her idea of "fun" is the slaughter of innocents or, if she's feeling her psychotic and twisted version of nice, maybe she'll just scare you. And by scare, I mean completely traumatize. She enjoys a good scare, regardless of who you are. Young or old, friend or foe, if you catch her in one of her "scaring" moods, she's going to try her damned hardest to frighten you, and she's yet to meet a soul she can't scare. Hell, she even scares herself. So much so that's she had to create a second personality just to deal with herself. Her fractured mind can't handle the intensity of her psychosis. But that being said, even those she claims to be friends aren't safe from her frights. She's very cunning and manipulative, able to pick out secrets and weaknesses. Crazy or not, she can still make it seem like she can be trusted. She weaves lies, spinning them until everything just seems so believable, so true, so... so sane. And then she'll use that all against you, becoming your worst enemy, something out of those childhood nightmares you tried so hard to tuck away in the darkest parts of your mind and memory.

Freddy is her second personality. He is drives her insanity. On the days that Madame Macabre cannot handle it, Freddy comes to her rescue, hushing her and convincing her that he can make things better. He was actually the one to introduce her to the idea of drinking blood, for his persona manifests (in her mind) as a bear. A big, burly grizzly that has resulted in her being obsessed with bears. She adores them, but not nearly as much as she adored Freddy, the man that will always have her back. He is very protective and possessive of Madame Macabre and when he feels like someone is getting a little too close for comfort, he forces his way into the forefront of her mind and takes control. This has made it difficult, if not impossible, for Madame Macabre to have lasting friendships, let alone romantic relationships.

history: The beginning of her history is one we have all heard before. She was born and raised in a Dark herd not too far off from Wild Equines. Her family life was typical - abusive father, an enslaved mother who had developed a wicked case of Stockholm syndrome, and a herd that glorified abuse and neglect and all things evil. So is it really any wonder that she grew up to be the woman that she is today? No. It's not. Especially when you take into consideration the physical, verbal, and emotional abuse she received from her father. Constantly being told that she was no better than a corpse when she was barely old enough to be weaned was something that stuck with her, and when her mother said nothing, just stood there looking that the man she was head over heels in love with despite him not giving a rat's ass about her... Madame Macabre started to fall. She had no friends, her mother not allowing her to see the other foals, and since her mother had little to no interesting in Mac, the little girl had no choice but to fall into her own, developing insanity.

Freddy manifested a short time before her first birthday. He came to her in the form of a grizzly bear, hushing her as she screamed and cried, eyes shut tight against the horrors her mind was showing her, but when she heard Freddy's voice, she opened her eyes and saw she was standing face to face with a grizzly bear. She listened intently as he told her all the things she was capable of. She could win her father's love! She could! And Freddy was going to help it.

It was weird at first, when Freddy took over. Mac could still hear and see everything, could still think, but she couldn't speak. Only Freddy could speak, and he spoke, using Mac's body, to the girl's mother, waking her up with her sleep only to attack. The mare didn't react in time to defend herself, and Mac watched in awe as Freddy tore at her mother's throat until she could no longer speak or make a sound. He gave control back over to Mac then, encouraging her to lap up the blood that was pouring from her mother's throat. Mac did, giggling the whole time, eyes wide and smiling for the first time in what felt like months. Her mother collapsed, dying a painful death, eyes wide in horror as the last thing she ever saw was her daughter drinking her blood.

Mac's father found them in the morning, blood on the cell floor and all over little Mac. Sickened, the man demanded that Madame Macabre leave and never return. And that was how Mac was released. Freddy convinced Mac that her father had released her because he loved her and was proud of her, and that is what Mac believes to this day, even all these years later.
