About
Ald'rid recieved his graduate's degree in xenopsychology after studying starship engineering at the Tah'Sul'Ha University. After years of running his own private practice in the city, he was slected to join on the Sah'Smahh scientific deep space exploration program. The idea of space and exploration terrified him, though he had no other choice, the council had made the decision for him. With a crew of 22 of the best selected scientists and engineers, the ship "Open Eyes" began their first expedition.
Five months later they had wandered into unknown hostile territory, confronting a species they had never seen and difficulty communicating with. Their ship was attacked and sent spiraling, crash landing on a nearby M class planet. Ald'rid was the only survivor, his escape pod shattered on impact and he was gravely injured. The planet contained life; Strange feline creatures of all patterns and colors came to his aid and dragged his body to their waters. He was able to heal, and because the cats had saved him, he took the Vul'Suo vow, shape shifting permantenly into their image.
It took another few years for him to learn how to use his new body, but eventually he was able to salvage pieces of his escape pod to make a distres signal. That's when the U.S.S KETE came to the rescue. Since then he had replaced the previously deceased counselor, and became a valued crew member and confidant.

Trivia
- Ald'rid uses a human hologram version of himself for crewmembers that are allergic or uncomfortable with cats. It is intergrated with his vocal translator on his collar to feel more natural. The holo-office always smells like that crew member's favorite scent.
- Ald'rid is the only member on board that knows who and what Ichaelya is.
- For formal events, he wears a satin purple collar.
- Pre-shapeshift he appears as a 7ft tall bipedal humanoid with light blue skin and orange pus sacs of varying size covering his face. He has two mouthes: One has razor shap teeth for tearing into meat, the other is perfect for breaking down vegetation. Before the transformation, he had lost nearly half a row of teeth in both mouthes on his left side.
- He is married to two men and two women: Fal'rid, Sul'rid, Mi'rid, and Woi'rid.
