appearance
télesphore is a tiny soft-bodied creature, with smooth skin covered in plant-like velvet. they have bright green eyes with fluffy lashes. télesphore is pale with accents of green and peachy pink. they're bipedal, rather than arms they have a round mantel attached to their shoulders which tapers into a tail. they have four beany phalanges on either side of their cloaklike wings to grasp at the world with.
at the tip of télesphore's tail is a capsule of glass delicately sculpted into the shape of a dandelion - its pappus are sharp to the touch. the dawn colored seawater within supports a tiny colony of algae. it glows brightly even throughout the day.
télesphore prefers their nightform; and implements all sorts of tactics to try and absorb sunlight more efficiently. they have a roundshaped, full ruff of air-light fluff, and a soft beige-pink bob to compliment their high forehead. their standout feature is that one foot is pink while the other is green.
personality
télesphore is more menace than mouse; they are quick to disagree with others even when the opinion expressed isn't all that different from their own. they like to fuss and complain over unexpected happenings - preferring for the day to be as they planned it. although télesphore is stubborn, they can see reason (even if they won't admit to it). they like to pout, they like to whine, and they like to be taken seriously!
télesphore tries their best to be impressive to others! boasting of all they've done and seen in exhaustive lists - embellished for flavor. part of it is télesphore thinking they're the bee's knees and part of it is insecurity, but whose to say which is the greater half. despite their impersonable faults, télesphore is good at working under pressure - consistent in making up and trying solutions for any problem.
despite being skittish toward strangers, and superstitious beyond belief, télesphore is dismissive of many worldly dangers; after all, they haven't got them yet. télesphore likes to laze about, play around, and get to work - distractions from these activities are often frustrating, but they'll make do.
télesphore is gentle towards plants and feels especially fond of them, often chatting to plants as if they could reply. they make télesphore feel understood. protecting the orchard from danger is their self-imposed mision. although they don't express it often, télesphore is thankful to those who visit them.
story
télesphore's determination was unassisted in its fall to the sea, consequently they formed far deeper in the ocean then was safe - this danger was only compounded by a raging thunderstorm; at a lack of sunlight, they slept for three days to the symphony of the rain. in their slumber, télesphore was tossed onto shore where they awoke once the sun showed itself.
télesphore was introduced to the world by toko and the capillary squadron of the crescent wave; who set out to grant them a name after learning of their circumstances. thanks to the squadron's dutiful tracking efforts, télesphore recieved their name from the roaming stelcair alphonsine. despite their insistence, télesphore refused to join the squadron's herd - feeling themself more at home amongst the apples than other phosray. télesphore took up the doubly dangerous life of not only being a lone phosray, but a land-roaming phosray. they seem ever unaware of their daring lifestyle.
in their time, télesphore has lived to: meet the rival rogue squadron of the crescent wave; get trapped in a jar by a human child; get lost in underwater tunnels; visit bluepearl city; encounter a terrifying darkness from the depths of the sea; meet with peach faction squadron; be accosted by birds; as well as other assorted adventures despite their will to sit at the edge of the orchard dreaming of apples.
due to their solitude and other strange behaviors, télesphore is rumoured to have some kind of secret skill, which sees other phosrays seeking them out; it's a bother to have people come stomping through the orchard! but its a little fun to be so prized.
