Song Yixing ( onyomi: Sou Geikyou ) is said to be the famed Witch of Shu. Known to be an incredibly cunning woman who used underhanded tricks and so-called "dark arts" to bring her wrath upon her enemies, Yixing in fact, was revealed to have practiced the Gu witchcraft. Outside of her title of "Witch", Yixing was active in battle, going to the front lines and even earning herself the title of "Commander". In her life, as well as posthumously, she was granted the title of "Commander Jiqiao". She is the wife of Jiang Wei.
Yixing's first playable appearance was in Dynasty Warriors 4. In previous games, she played numerous minor roles in aiding Shu. However; starting from Dynasty Warriors 7, Yixing's role had drastically changed to becoming a substitute for Zhuge Liang and Yueying in terms of sorcery related segments in gameplay, particularly after Wuzhang Plains.

Character Information
Development
In previous titles, Yixing was designed to represent a more "witch-like" or "sorcerer-like" appearance. In recent titles starting from Dynasty Warriors 7, Yixing's character concept and design were drastically changed to follow that the accusation of witchcraft led to captial punishment. Since Dynasty Warriors 4, Yixing has always commanded "Sorcerer" and "Phantom Troops" as the situation saw fit. This role does not change even in recent games, and in fact further emphasize her command over them as per her "witch" title.
Storyline wise, her witch title is merely for dramatics. Her characterization has nothing to do with any form of obsession or deep devotion to the craft at all, and is mostly mentioned in passing or by certain characters who are struck by her presence. She does act with spite and resentment in her tone, and is clearly one of the characters who have made numerous threats to her enemies.
