Sarin lived a sheltered life with her three caretakers. They are all children of the Witch Who Wears a Lion's Head, Sarin being the youngest of the bunch. Her older siblings/caretakers were Anger, Trust, and Confusion. She lived inside a cave system and lived comfortably and had everything she needed and was well taken care of, though her siblings remained distant. They never allowed her to leave the den and told her stories of how cruel humans are and how dangerous the outside world is. Sarin has always been very passive, soft spoken, and obedient so she never went against her siblings wishes. One day her siblings never came and she waited and waited. Eventually, Sarin came out of the caves and into the outside for the first time. She explored and stayed close to the caves, often coming back to check if her siblings had come back but they never did. Sarin wondered off after a few weeks and set out to look for her missing siblings. She doesn't know the potential danger she's in yet, as she is being pursued by other Witch Children.

• Sarin is an elder witch child. Basically a sort of eldritch monster. She and her family are from the Shadowfell and they currently reside in the Material Plane. How she came to be is a mystery since she is different from her siblings. Her true form doesn't have any discernible shape but she is able to shift into humanoid forms unlike her siblings. Her form of preference is that of a petite woman.
• (Spoiler alert: her mom who was a powerful elder witch from the Shadowfell devoured a star from the night sky in the material plane which completely obliterated her and when she disappeared, Sarin remained. So Sarin is the soul of the star with the powers of the Shadowfell witch)
• Her siblings names are Anger, Trust, and Confusion. Anger takes the form of a biblically accurate angel (many eyes and many rings), Trust takes the form of a giant forest tree, and Confusion takes the form of a manticore.
• When she shifted into a humanoid form for the first time it somehow came easier to her than expected. She keeps her monster form a secret. It's really easy for her to incorporate non-human elements into her human shifts.
• She is in the process of learning speech. She never needed to do that with her siblings. Now when learning common and other languages, she occasionally doesn't understand how to say something and has to describe it some other way or make shapes with her hands.
• She is very curious about humans and her curiosity about the world and the people around her is what drives her.
• Since she is learning speech, she often gets confused about words and their meanings. For example, her relationship with her caretakers could also be interpreted as them being older siblings or parents and Sarin still doesn't understand the differences. She will sometimes call them siblings, and other times she will call them parents.
• Her first contact with a person was an accident. While she was observing humans from afar, one of them stumbled upon her in the woods while she was still looking like a monster. Her monster form is so incomprehensible to the human mind that the person ran away screaming probably traumatized for life. Sarin felt bad and decided to shift into a small human woman before approaching humans just so she doesn't scare anyone. She is very self conscious about it.
• Her monster form is incomprehensible to the normal persons mind. When you look at it you see everything at once but at the same time you don't see anything. Kinda like staring into the void.
• She is very soft spoken, gentle, and kind. Since she was so sheltered and only knew her family she's still learning about the world outside her caves. But most importantly she's learning about herself; what she is and who she wants to be.
