• her eyes can be any color go wild. blue? hell yeah. brown? hell yeah. go ham.
• wings not opt. but can be stylized any way
• star charms in her hair and tail also non opt.
• she does appear young but id say when drawing her id say an age range of like early to mid teenager or just go based off of my age

okay so the world joy lives in essentially has no concept of age. Back in the day scientists discovered a way to make people live longer, which was essentially immortality since people, with this bew development could live upwards of 200 years if they really wanted to while still looking youthful. of course birthdays are celebrated, since it's not true immorality, but there is a way in her world to gain true immortality

so when joy was like ~11-13 she pretty much noclipped into the afterlife (skill issue) and normally when you 'die' in joy's world you just respawn (the whole fake immortality thing)

so yeah shes chilling in the afterlife when death is like "yo wtf why is this young child here??" especially cuz she's in her SOUL form and you only turn into your soul form when youre dead like for reals.

Death feels bad, so it gives her true immortality. (although since Death's main power is reaping, this doesn't exactly go as planned)

so death sends joy on her way after making her immortal and all is good and swell until one day she's drawing aliens, and is like "wow i wish i could be an alien" and then BOOM. shapeshifts for the first time.

so she goes to tell her mom, and shes like "MOM HOLY FRICK" but no, her mother has also somehow shapeshifted into an alien, and its like nothing happened somehow.

meanwhile up in the afterlife, Death and all the other deitys are like "yo what the fuck is going on in earth?"

soon enough, after retracing steps, they realize its joy (spoiler alert shes learned like kinda how to control her powers so the deitys have just been like getting signals earth is just being replicated because of this kid. lmao)

so the deitys summon joy and are like "you cant be doing this but it would kinda be fucked up for us to take away your powers since you are. learning how to use them crazy fast." so they make it that joy can only travel between dimensions and shapeshift (standard deity powers, dimension creation is reserved for the super high ranking Deitys and not just. some 13 year old.

joy's chill with this so shes like an honarary deity now. (love that for u queen)

Okay so now that everything is sorted with the deitys, Joy is back on earth. shes vibing and enjoying her new powers. she even reasearches and finds out about other honorary deitys.

the Deitys eventually send an angel to her mom and are like "yeah ur daughter is an immortal deity now. sorry." so she does have duties as a deity, but since shes the youngest her job is pretty much to just. make sure no dimensions get destroyed/ if anyone gets accidentally sent to the afterlife to help guide them (and not give them immortality, im looking at you Death).

her mom tries her best to be supportive, and tries to help Joy in anyway she can, attempting to try and talk things out with Joy when she gets overwhelmed with her Deity Duties.

joy struggles to talk to her mom sometimes about her duties, because shes afraid her mom wont be able to relate, so she doesn't want to worry her mom. but overall, shes doing good.
