A wandering scholar and artist with an insatiable curiosity and love for celestial bodies. Cassiopeia travels across the land in her endless pursuit of knowledge and can often be found stargazing and scribbling on a notebook to add to her evergrowing collection of observations and illustrations. Cassi's fascination with the world around her began at an early age; her talent for observation and keen eye for detail did not go unnoticed by her father Renwick, to whom she has always been particularly close. Having taken notice of the spark of curiosity in his fawn's eyes, he made the decision to bring her along on several of his trips across the land, always encouraging Cassi to explore and seek to learn more about anything that piqued her interest while they were out and about.

One of her earliest and fondest memories is heading out into the woods with Renwick after a period of heavy rain to catch toads, an experience that instilled in her a profound admiration for and curiosity about the natural world, as well as her passion for outdoor activities. Her father's toad companion Nimbus has likewise always caught her eye, and it was by picking up a quill and trying to sketch him a great many times that she developed a love for artistic expression. Though she is an excellent observer and a highly intelligent scientist, she is not the most organised of fauns and her tendency towards losing her train of thought is often quite apparent in her notes, which are filled with unrelated footnotes and scrawls along the margins of the pages containing hasty corrections or continuations of unfinished ideas from several pages earlier. Cassiopeia herself is not bothered by this however, and is easily able to navigate her chaotic scribbles to find scraps of information.

Cassi has a younger sister, Selene, whom she absolutely adores. The two could not be more different personality-wise - Cassiopeia is quiet and contemplative, while Selene is confident, extroverted, and loud - yet they get along incredibly well. Selene looks up to her big sister and will frequently beg to come along on her studying trips, which she will often interrupt to show Cassi pretty flowers and other curiosities she's picked up, or to complain about getting dirt on her fur and feathers she spent the whole morning grooming meticulously; the latter will usually result in Cassi chuckling and scooping up the smaller fawn, not fazed in the slightest by the extra weight.
