Hes great a guy who is pretty positive all the time, he can't really see the bad in any idea or situation! 

Which might sound good on papper but in reality it just makes him really good at getting into bad situations. He is very suportive and loving tho, so he may be great at falling for things like scams, but he will usualy end up befrending the scamer.

So most if not all of his friends may be awfull and criminal, but he hangs around because he doesn't really see the bad in them, which most of them prolly need, even if they won't admit it. They say he is their friend because he is stupid and is up for anything, which he is, buuut we all know thats not the whole story ;)

Also aliens love trying to abduct him all the time.
