The mother of the Kai Brothers. She currently doesn’t have a name  yet, but I’ve nicknamed her “Mama Maken” (the Kai Brothers’ title in the  Japanese version, Kai no Maken, means “Devil Dogs of Kai”). She’s an  ancient and cantankerous former boarhound who is somehow even more of a  hellraiser than her sons-combined. She’s led a hard life, and is all  scarred up, and missing an eye and a few toes, not that it bothers her  much. She’s also a stone butch and is secretly and gruffly protective of  dogs smaller and weaker than her and puppies. She had many girlfriends  in the Kai Ken community back in the day. 

The Kai Brothers caught  scent marks and glimpses of an older female on the edge of their  territory who looked and smelled like them, but they didn’t put two and  two together because let’s be honest-they put all their critical  thinking skills in the fighting basket. When they finally do meet, they beat the snot out of each other and then bond as a fambly, as you do.
