Amaryllis

Dancing beneath the harvest moon, 

Weaving between the poppies and daffodills,

Crown of flowers, crown of thorns.

Full of grace, hiding behind a mask of scales and flowers.

A smile both at home and far away,

But you distrust the smile,

And disdain its eyes.

So you march on.
