Profile
Poppystrike always wanted to become great, and they would train for hours in order to hone their skills. They are currently one of the only warriors without an apprentice to still visit the battle grounds reguarly. Because they are so eager to show off these skills, Poppystrike tends to jump at any oppertunity they get for battle.
However, with other matters Poppystrike can prove to be very knowledgable. Their memory usually focuses on past hardships, so with knowledge from those incidents they are able to remember what to do in surprising situations.

- Poppystrike does not want a mate, but if they did they are only attracted to toms.
- Their scar came from a battle with an eagle.
- Their hatred for twolegs stems from an incident long ago.
Poppykit was born to Silverslope and Eelspots alongside their only littermate, Rosekit. Barely three moons later, the two siblings snuck out of camp, where they were found by twolegs and taken back with them. Poppykit fought back, biting them whenever they came close, and managed to escape half a moon later. Rosekit remains there to this day, and barely remembers her time in SlateClan. Poppykit grew to resent this and no longer considers her their sister.
Poppykit was then apprenticed to Honeyflurry, an aged warrior close to retirement. Poppypaw's dedication was far higher than what Honeyflurry was able to handle, and they trained long hours alone without their mentor. Honeyflurry realised this and adjusted her training methods to follow suit, making sure not to spend too much time practicing a single fighting move and focusing mainly on other tasks. Most of Poppypaw's formal combat training took the form of assessments to ensure they weren't practing incorrectly.
Poppystrike passed their warrior assessment with flying colours, and was named Poppystrike for their combat skills. They were a little too ready to fight for the comfort of most cats, but others were very excited by the prospect. Their skills also landed them an apprentice at a surprisingly young age, who was named Rustlepaw. Rustlepaw was awed by Poppystrike's talents and abilities and ended up following along with almost anything they'd say. Poppystrike wasn't very comfortable with this, but wasn't about to protest as it might cause others to see them as unable lead others. Leadership was their ultimate goal after all. Their second apprentice, Pigeonpaw, became even more dedicated to them than Rustlemouse had, and would not only follow whatever they said but also argue for them no matter what. It was around this time that Shellstreak, the deputy, began to grow ill. The entire Clan could tell that he didn't have much time left, and the entire Clan also expected Poppystrike to be promoted once he did eventually die. To their shock and disgust, Pearstar promoted her son Flysight instead, one of the least worthy candidates for the position. During the moon in which he was deputy, Poppystrike hated him, and Pigeonpaw, now Pigeonpath, did too. Rustlemouse on the other hand was more neutral on the matter, as her brother was Flysight's mate.
Pearstar passed away one moon later, on the day Flysight was set to resign. Poppystrike was horrified, although perhaps not as horrified as Flysight himself. They finally got their deputy position, although under a leader much younger than they it seemed unlikely that Poppystrike would ever recieve the leadership position they wanted so much. Fortunately, Flysight seemed content to let Poppystrike do most of the leading, although he seemed very uncomfortable when it came to battle and would often prevent Poppystrike from engaging in any more fights than they had to.
As of now, Poppystrike has been deputy for one moon.
