Scarlett is a particularly strong-willed woman. Taking ‘no’ for an answer is not something she likes to make a habit of. Make a mistake on her watch or refuse to follow her command and she’ll see to it, one way or the other, that you’ll never forget it. For that reason a mention of her name to someone who knows her in the post-apocalyptic world she calls home may send shivers up their spine. She’s strong both physically and in the sense of how authorative she is over those around her, and she certainly knows that fact. She can actually act relatively casual or even joke with certain people; she’ll even do her part and help them out with shifting supply loads and whatnot. When she genuinely does trust and like someone she’ll stick by them regardless of what challenges are thrown her way. Cross her or those she holds dear, though, and there’s no way in hell that she’d have any mercy for you. Arguably her temper is more outright sharp or fiery than that of Negan, the man she loves; his authority is just about the only authority she’d ever count above her own.

Scarlett was originally from the UK; she was born and raised in Yorkshire along with two siblings, to the point where she still carries a very distinct Yorkshire accent to this day despite having moved to America. She was able to do so as part of a job transfer; she was a member of her local police force in Yorkshire and transferred to a unit in the US after having had a highly successful career for several years prior. As a cop in the US she remained content with and good at her line of work. While in the US, though, she happened to meet a man by the name of Negan. She met him at a baseball game the both of them were attending; they bumped into each other by chance since they were seated next to each other and got talking since they were supporting the same team… that and her accent seemed to catch his interest. The two stayed in touch after that, going on a few dates and the like. However, eventually it came to Scarlett’s attention that Negan had a wife of his own and, though it broke her heart to do it since she had genuinely fallen for the man, she stopped seeing him. Scarlett fell into depression following the end of her relationship with Negan; her siblings were aware of it and flew out to her place from the UK in order to provide her with some much-needed emotional support. It was not too long after that, however, that the apocalypse occurred. Never again would the world be as it was.

It wasn’t long after the apocalypse had happened that Scarlett briefly reunited with the man she’d loved. She learned that his wife had passed away during the time she’d not been seeing him, for which she offered her sincere condolences. When the two began to reconcile and she felt as though she might have found a ray of hope in the dark state of the world as it was then, they were forced to part ways when a vast group of Walkers came between them. Scarlett returned to the same spot when all was clear but Negan was gone; assuming him to be dead, Scarlett used his memory to motivate herself from then on. She wasn’t going to give up, not when he wouldn’t have himself, she was going to survive and not let anything or anyone bring her down. She regrouped with her siblings and they headed out to find themselves a place where they could be safe. They found an abandoned school building and set up their HQ there, wherein Scarlett, while the youngest of the three, came out as a leader figure. When more people joined them, her dominant grasp of the group became more clear. They kept to themselves for the most part, rarely getting new group members but prospering as much as they could in that world. Eventually, though, Scarlett was dealt another emotional blow when her siblings fell victim to Walkers… fortunately for her, though, a familiar face she’d thought to have died long before then reappeared and reignited her determination to survive.
